If he could do that while not losing the personality traits that got him elected, the rabid media would be forced to focus on his personality and agenda, which would only help him with his base.
It wouldn't just help him on his base, it would also help him on the fence sitters, because then he can just state "well, these people have only been focusing on me and not my accomplishments, here's what I have done...."

Or better yet, turn the conversation around against the media.

I don't think it's hubris to think the constantly evolving one is probably going to end up being right.

That's not where the hubris was in his statement.

People have been claiming creation, in various different cultures, for thousands of years and still have nothing resembling concrete proof.

The current theories have astounding amounts of proof gathered in only decades and is constantly changing as our understanding of the universe grows.

If Creationists believe a god can make things in the blink of an eye, then I must be god. I can eat something and then create solid waste a half hour later.

I don't believe anything you say or do. So what religion is that ?

Putting the importance of sociological studies aside, this level of hubris is the antithesis of scientific thought. It will not serve you well in other arguments.
There's no hubris involved in saying creationism or creationism lite are both wrong.
"2+2=9"
"2+2=34"
Both are wrong and a distinction is pretty useless.

The distinction is kinda pointless. Neither view is less wrong than the other.

"My opinion is correct, and there is no chance that I'm wrong. Therefore, any responses that do not match my views 100% are pointless and there is no need for distinction between them."
In this case, yeah pretty much.

There is a boatload of hubris in gnostic atheism, which is essentially the view you're espousing along with your terrible analogy. You would never see me fighting against agnostic atheist views.

Im not espousing or arguing against any belief system or lack thereof. Simply stating a basic fact that modern humans or the earth itself being 10k years old is disproven by all relevant evidence. I don't know why this is controversial.

You basically stated that the difference between belief systems was irrelevant. Make sure you know what you're arguing before backpedaling a few posts later.

That being said, define "disproven". There is "disproven" in the true scientific sense, which is in layman's terms to say that we don't know everything, but with all the evidence we have this is our best conclusion. Then there's "disproven" in the non-scientific (read: stupid) sense, which is to say "Even though I'm basically a glorified ape with a limited perspective on the universe, I'm 100% right, everyone else is wrong, end of story."
