So just to quickly compare pre and post changes, I usually run Leviathan HTB (which was not adjusted) as BLU/RUN + GEO/WHM to gauge the impact of vex and attunement changes (Idris, 900 skill, no BoGs)

Edit: moved conclusion to top
Conclusion/TLDR: It is not possible to reach the same potency of previous vex, by combining new effects vex and attune with +50 m.eva from food. Bring a WHM and/or Carols on top of Vex

Pre-update, I would get the occasional un-resisted hit from magic BPS/ Waterja, but very occasional, and very very rarely full damage hits using indi-vex, sulporX2, vallation, /whm barwatera with legs (total 159 water resist) with mixed -DT gear (316 m.eva in gear)

I tried 3 varieties of 7 runs, the first using the exact same setup as pre-update. Unfortunately I was unable to complete the first kill as unresisted damage from additional effects + a hit from grand fall or waterja would spell my doom immediately. I adjusted a bit adding barrier tusk and zephyr mantle for added defensive abilities and finished the rest with several close calls of sub 100 hp. 3 out of 7 runs ended in failure. One before even dealing 10% to a unresisted, unabsorbed double attack / added effect of 700+

The second set I tried going 7 runs using indi-vex and geo-attunement. The resists were a little better but honestly not much compared to my first set. The addition of attunement was not enough to greatly mitigate incoming damage but there were less full hits, and 1/4 resists were more common. The same issues arose as previous. Spamming cures became an issue for MP, at least on the GEO's part. 1 out of 7 runs ended in failure.

The third set I ran went with using Miso Ramen as food for an extra 50 m.eva to gauge the incremental impact, while still using both vex and attune. On this set, less then half of spells and magical blood pacts landed for full damage, most common being 1/4 resists. This was much more manageable but there remains very close calls, surely death if HP wasn't kept at maximum at all times.

In all cases, one major difference I must point out is that trusts can no longer survive at all vs the incomming magical damage compared to before. This makes it much more difficult for those planning to keep soloing / low man, so please take care.

These changes I think are quite beneficial into pushing the inclusion of whm (the trusts to shellra V sure, but die not long after) for the merited bonus to shellra V, along with a proper barwatera set to reach 300+ resist rates along with making things that should be more "difficult" a bit more group focused.

Did anyone else have their account data disappear when they first logged into POL after the update? I logged into POL this morning for the first time this week and it asked me to register for a new POL account or add an existing account. I never had this issue before and I'm wondering why it did this now (hopefully it was just a one time thing due to the update).

This is the first time I had to enter my data into POL in like 5 years and I completely forgot most of my info, but luckily I could get most of it off of the main SE account management website. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue or if it was an isolated incident.
Ok stupid me I read it again. Which anti virus and operating system are you running? This has happen to me like a few months ago

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate and I just use Microsoft Security Essentials/Windows Defender (sometimes I manually run Malwarebytes). I've never had this issue before, so I'm not really sure why it happened this time.

Just an FYI to everyone, +1 skill opens Tier 2 on all Jinxed/Voodoo Hands. The -1 + ore synth is level 92. Maximum obtainable skill with these new shields is 123. Before we had Tier 2 on only feet -1 + ore synth.

Thanks, was looking for this. My understanding is that these shields will get further skill increase (maybe same as kupo shield for a single craft?) so that the next update will make legs T2 and the one after head T2 with the body being the only pieces that will remain T1. Time to craft myself some cheap hands!

-1 + Ore list
Feet: 91 (Requires level 122 to T2)
Hands: 92 (Requires level 123 to T2)
Legs: 93 (Requires level 124 to T2)
Head: 94 (Requires level 125 to T2)
Bodies: 95 (Requires level 126 to T2)

Remember that many base pieces are still T1. Heres a list, no bodies obviously because they are all 96+. No jinxed either, since they are all in the 105-110 range.

There is still an advantage of having Kupo shield as it is all crafts +3. That lets players break tiers on some of these base pieces due to subcraft reqs.

Apogee/Dalmatica Set
Cursed Pumps - Leather 92, Cloth 59
Cursed Mitts - Cloth 96
Cursed Slacks - Cloth 97
Cursed Crown - Gold 91

Pumps are still T1 due to cloth sub

Souveran/Koenig Set
Cursed Schuhs - Gold 94, Alchemy 41
Cursed Hanschuhs - Gold 96, Alchemy 41~44
Cursed Diechlings - Gold 93, Alchemy 41
Cursed Schaller Gold 97, Smithing 51, Alchemy 41~48

No T2s due to subs

Rao/Shura Set
Cursed Sune-Ate - Wood 94
Cursed Kote - Wood 96
Cursed Haidate - Wood 93
Cursed Kabuto - Wood 97

No T2s yet, but feet/legs will be eventually

Carmine/Crimson Set
Cursed Greaves - Alchemy 94
Cursed Finger Gauntlets - Alchemy 93
Cursed Cuisses - Alchemy 92
Cursed Mask - Alchemy 96

Cuisses -1 are T2 now, but the voodoo cuisses are not until next shield update. Hands and feet will be eventually.

Lustratio/Hecatomb Set
Cursed Leggings - Bone 94, Leather 44
Cursed Gloves - Bone 92, Leather 43
Cursed Subligar - Bone 91, Leather 41
Cursed Cap - Bone 97

Gloves, Feet and Legs are still T1 due to the Leathercraft subs

Argosy/Adaman Set
Cursed Sollerets - Smithing 93, Goldsmithing 23
Cursed Mufflers - Smithing 94, Goldsmithing 23
Cursed Breeches - Smithing 92, Goldsmithing 23~30
Cursed Celata - Smithing 95, Goldsmithing 26

Legs should be T2 now, Goldsmithing sub was way less than we thought. Hands and Feet soon to come.

After updating my FF11 I updated my windows 7 and did a anti virus check. Restated everything gone exactly like yours. After that happen I pushed windows 7 back a day to uninstall most recent update and never updated again. Zero issues since then.

So just to quickly compare pre and post changes, I usually run Leviathan HTB (which was not adjusted) as BLU/RUN + GEO/WHM to gauge the impact of vex and attunement changes (Idris, 900 skill, no BoGs)
HTBFs weren't included in the list of monster changes. Unity NMs are probably unchanged as well. This is something they may need to address in a future update.

I can see Sarama being all but impossible with a nerfed vex attune and no macc change...

You want better macc in the mob. Frazzle lowers mobs meva. I'm not seeing the problem.

Well they were talking about things that make players resist more (ie vex lowers macc attune boosts meva) so frazzle not gunna help much there. Carols were boosted a bit though.

So does that make Tumult Creator effectively unkillable right now? I seem to remember Attunement/Vex being pretty essential for killing the ToAU HNM forms fast enough.

Has anyone done any high-tier NMs like Kirin/WoC/T4s? Just tried to 6man Kirin and our macc was completely floored. On Kirin's first form, the first nuke was fine, but everything else dealt under 1k damage. As for Kouryu, everything was completely floored with an Idris Indi-Focus/Geo-Languor. I hope this wasn't intentional :x

Addle II is something like 70 * 1.24 = -86 Magic Accuracy without Sab. Sab brings it to +62% for -139 Magic Accuracy on NM's.

I think the biggest issue with Addle/Frazzle3 is that some mobs are very resistant or completely resistant based on their family or elemental alignment which makes relying on them, at least in those instances, questionable.

True, I wish they made Stymie at least as good as Elemental Seal. But even better would be to make it like NiTro where it basically can't be resisted.

For aeonics we bring much more people, but we were just farming for gear so just went as 6. Yes we've beaten it multiple times as this setup with the same people.

Would need more testing because the adds were dying just fine (not sure what their ilvl was). Also, was 4boxing Seiryu right before Kirin and MACC was just fine w/ non-Idris Indi-Focus/Geo-Malaise. So it might just be Kirin, but I'd like to know about other Aeonic NMs.
