Should note all the nms have have fairly low hp. Based on my AoEing them we talking like 50-60k with Gram being a tad higher though hard to get real number since was zerging and there was a benediction in the middle. As such yeah it can be zerged

Ah the beauty of having already done all Adoulin quests and seeing people now rage about having to do it.

Wouldn't bother with the CP part until after you finish the shield. It is Analysis Crystals only for the CP kits. Have to purchase the Crystals in stacks. 5,400 Guild Points per stack.

The shield part is really easy, you can spam crafting kits 5-10-15 switching between so you're not spamming the same synth. The objective changes on the shield after a few synths or through time. Once you get 100%, you trade the Shield to your Guild Master to get the Soul.

The -30% goes down as you level. Spamming low level synths will yield the best results, because HQs(even on items that can't HQ such as kits) count as more toward Craftsmanship. If you HQ and it fits in the objective it will give you a few %. HQS usually are at least .5%, but usually 1%.

You need 11,000 CP to finish(haven't finished yet). For me being Clothcraft, the 64 Kit is the best to spam. Being that it is T3 and gives 43-50 for the NQs and 63-99 for HQs. You can get all the mats from the Guild NPC, so as long as you have the Guild Points you will be able to finish eventually. The level 90 Kit may be better for you, depending on the mats. Since it is T2, so will assume it will be 68-100+.

as for % increase... Im not sure if this was mentioned yet or not but i had on shield for 2 synths no rules for better results. (meaning i did not have a "craft on firesday etc.) so i did a test.... 1 successful synth of kit 15 and went from 5.06 -> 5.36. Next synth again with no rules i did the new craft kit 94 and went from 5.36 -> 5.60.

What you see here is that the lower kit actually produced more gain (0.3%) then the high level kit (0.24%) both with the same rules on the shield during synth. This makes me think gain is a random boundary and that any theory of using a higher level synth will make it increase faster will not be true. Just throwing this out there for all the crafters. Like Stamos said, stick with low level kits and just spam them.

Woodworking shield turns into Joiner's Ecu. It gives +1 and when you give it to the Guild Master he adds on Def:2. He tells you to go back to Jeuno and talk to the Mithra again. That seems to be where it stops for now.

Also, please be aware of the synths that require Terra Crystal, as it is asking for the new 'analysis crystal' (blue border) not the original Terra Crystal (white border) used for signing items.

I imagine this is an oversight, and they will rename the blue border one next month

Based on SE's dev posts, the offensive nerfs are only for magic accuracy, to correspond with the nerfing to Vex and Attunement.

An interesting side effect of this, is that shield block rates will increase on affected mobs. Since block rate depends on player shield skill and monster combat skill.

Technically speaking that probably was a macc related nerf as at least for players skill seems to have some effect on the acc magical ws so it's certainly possible it does for mobs too and they couldn't just toggle macc down but had to actually lower skills which is why they had to do both. But yeah will have a bunch of other effects and it sounds like they may have hit some of the defensive ones too on accident

Did anyone else have their account data disappear when they first logged into POL after the update? I logged into POL this morning for the first time this week and it asked me to register for a new POL account or add an existing account. I never had this issue before and I'm wondering why it did this now (hopefully it was just a one time thing due to the update).

This is the first time I had to enter my data into POL in like 5 years and I completely forgot most of my info, but luckily I could get most of it off of the main SE account management website. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue or if it was an isolated incident.

The new ambuscade gear confuses me.. because Jhakri has the MACC and MAB together, whereas Mallquis only has 12 MAB each and a bunch of magic damage/elemental casting time. I guess it's for those who missed Jhakri and want something to nuke in?

its kind of ironic.. This somehow got past me; but i just realized all the rewards/ki/trials from Reja Ygridhi last night. So they are definitely not done. Then i wake up today to find it all as a prereq for the new update /grin

Just an FYI to everyone, +1 skill opens Tier 2 on all Jinxed/Voodoo Hands. The -1 + ore synth is level 92. Maximum obtainable skill with these new shields is 123. Before we had Tier 2 on only feet -1 + ore synth.

By the way .. why is no one doing Mog Garden when you can get a permanent movement speed / CP bonus / Trust buff from Monster Rearing? How is no one doing this?

Also yes, the furrow is by far the most annoying thing in the garden.. but all you need to do is trade in revival roots and remember to pick them every now and then for a couple months. While you do that you could play with Monster Rearing which is actually useful and gives a permanent buff you choose. Personally I like to use Jumbotenders cheer:

Capacity Points +7%, Movement Speed +3%, Alter Ego Auto-Regen +5, Alter Ego Auto-Refresh +3.

Get it done you lazy bums..

It is for low base damage spells like Helix, T1/2 spells, maybe GEO Ele-ra spells (or at least the T1s). Probably won't want to use all pieces at once either because you still need some MAB for the MDGMG to mean something.

Makes sense. I can see them being good for helix IIs before Merlinic.

Thanks, was looking for this. My understanding is that these shields will get further skill increase (maybe same as kupo shield for a single craft?) so that the next update will make legs T2 and the one after head T2 with the body being the only pieces that will remain T1. Time to craft myself some cheap hands!
