Bahamut.Kara said: » YouTube Video Placeholder Homeland Security Inspector General opens investigation of Muslim Ban, orders document preservation
Quote: .. In an agency-wide directive sent to DHS staff early Wednesday afternoon, the IG’s office wrote, “All agency personnel must preserve any document that contains information that is potentially relevant to OIG’s investigation, or that might reasonably lead to the discovery of relevant information relating to the implementation of this Executive Order. For the duration of this hold, any relevant information that is within your possession or control must be preserved in the exact form as it currently exists.” ... In a letter sent to Roth on Sunday, the lawmakers asked the IG’s office to investigate a number of issues related to the rollout of the order, including what guidance DHS and CBP personnel provided to the White House in developing the order and what directions were provided to CBP officers in implementing it. The lawmakers also asked the IG to investigate whether CBP officers complied with subsequent court orders, and whether DHS and CBP officers kept a list of individuals that they detained at ports of entry. Despite a Saturday night federal court order blocking all ban-related removals, and a series of subsequent legal challenges in a number of states, including one in Virginia mandating that lawyers be granted access to individuals arriving from affected countries, reports of noncompliance with the orders continued to spread in the following days. Over the weekend, The Intercept reported on an Iranian citizen at Los Angeles International Airport forced by Customs and Border Protection officials to board a flight to Copenhagen, despite the nationwide stay. In New York, another Iranian woman was forced onto a flight to Ukraine despite the judge’s order. In a phone call with reporters Sunday, Becca Heller, director of the International Refugee Assistance Project, said “high-level intervention” was required to prevent the woman from being deported. “They literally turned the plane around while it was taxing on the tarmac and allowed her to leave,” Heller said. In the following days, reports have also emerged of immigration officials making people sign forms renouncing their valid immigration status, sometimes through threats and manipulation. Any leftist politicians willing to condem these riots? Their silence may as well be approval.
I don't think we have any politicians in general on these boards. So I'm afraid you won't find any Nausi.

Turning your alt right *** into martyrs is a terrible idea. Same as when that piece of ***Spencer got punched. I actually suspect that was a deliberate setup given we've had no ID on the "assaulters." More *** bully tactics. Goad people until they fight back and then blame them for fighting back. These rioters -- and the people who hit Spencer if, in fact, they weren't plants -- are both horribly wrong. The absolute last thing that we need is to make scumbag leaders martyrs for their scumbag causes. Trump threatens to cut federal funds to UC Berkeley over Milo Yiannopoulos cancellation
While I do lol at students now, and prior, having riots and safe-space hissyfits when there's a speaker they don't like, Trump makes me facepalm with crap like this. At the same time, while I admit I don't waste my time browsing white supremacist websites, I've seen no publicized uproar about finding the "guilty." Just more furor talking about how awful liberals are and this proves it. So yeah. While it seems a little far-fetched, it's not quite "we didn't land on the moon and the government is trying to control us with fluoridated water" level either. More knee-jerk reactions from a bully. Can dish it out, but he can't take it. Standard tactics of an insecure, weak man. the man who hit Spencer was an Antifa and quite frankly we need more of them.
And he was punched again after that. Make these people afraid to step outside.
Spencer had a rare Pepe that was super dank. That guy was trying to steal it.
Shiva.Shruiken said: » And he was punched again after that. Make these people afraid to step outside. I get this impulse. I really, really do. But fighting fear and hate with fear and hate is not the answer. It just allows them insulate and validate, and gives them an excuse to "fight back." Trump, I admit, is a tad crazier than I honestly thought. Anna Ruthven said: » Trump, I admit, is a tad crazier than I honestly thought He's just spineless and now beholden to the really terrible people that got him elected. Spencer himself said it: Trump is alt right whether he likes it or not.
Now, I don't think the alt right "got him elected." I think 30 years of questionable government involvement from both branches that put off a lot of good people got him elected. But part of the wave he rode was the blind eye he's willing to turn to hate groups that help him target the groups he wants to target. And he's got to feed the monkey, so to speak. Offline

Wow we down to "The Sun" level stuff now. The amount of sheer hate being blasted from the "party of tolerance" is hilarious. Reminds me of all the "Obama is an evil muslim terrorist" that went on back in 2009.
No not everyone agreed with the super PC rhetoric that they were being bludgeoned with. Yes the pendulum has started swinging the other direction. No there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. As each of you is crying and gnashing your teeth millions of Americans are cheering. Your voice is not the only voice nor do you have the right to "authorize" voices according to your own notions of PC. You don't just go around, flashing dank memes and rare Pepes and expect to not have an attempted mugging.
For anyone who don't get it, Spencer wears a "Pepe the Frog" button and was punched while explaining it on camera. Pepe the Frog is a meme.

It's fine to use any and all methods on the enemy. The ends justify the means. Anything for The Cause. This is the mind of a religious fanatic. Can use some of the funds to build a wall around campus don't let them out ! Well, we are now living in the age where violence is condoned, not only by the protesters, but celebrities (Madonna's "blow up the White House), the media (New York Times is actually promoting violence against Republicans), and the democrats/liberals in Congress (Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer telling the public to go out and riot).
When people start shooting/stabbing/killing other people in the streets because they are Republicans, are they (democrats/liberals/media/celebrities) going to start condemning them for such actions? Or only when people start fighting back and we end up in Civil War II: This Time, With Nukes™ (btw, you owe me $.50 for reading that). The peaceful protest -from what I saw and according to the university officials- got high jacked by a few asshats, which sucks. The guy should get to say his speech others should be allowed to counter what he says with their opinions. Asura.Saevel said: » Wow we down to "The Sun" level stuff now.
