Its all in your head. You don't actually understand the policy of setting up "safe zones" because Trump hasn't explained it to you. Its just a buzz word he is using and you are blindly following along.

Neither is my policy. I'm willing to concede that some degree of immigration limitations should be adjusted upward. Not for "zomg terrorists," but just from a sustainability standpoint.

You want to cut off immigration based on religion?

I have a big *** problem with that. Religious tests for anything pertaining to citizenship or existing in any fashion on American soil cannot be tolerated.

Did you know on Sunday, just with his phone trump was able to pull the saudis on board with taking some of these refugees?

...did you know that you just managed to reference the #1 country that we should be looking at as a producer of terrorists and violator of human rights, and instead of recognizing it as such, lauded them as an ally and good place to send more suffering people? ^^;
Nice pivot. But let's get back to the issue.

So...case in point. You don't actually care about helping these people. All you care about is they go anywhere but here.

Which, fine. I think that's disgusting, but fine.

At least we're being honest.

Yes but your policy doesn't create new Democrat voters.

Everything the Democrats do is centered around creating new voters who identify stronger with a progressive world class struggle then with America. It's a long term strategy designed to secure permanent power and thus be capable of engineering social change.

His entire life has been fighting with the press/media and having to defend himself.

Have you considered that there are literally thousands of celebrities in this country and very few of them have the problems he does?

If you're in 100 relationships and they all fail, there's one thing in common with all of them.
He only was targeted by the left when he ran against them. Surely you can see the cause-effect relationship here?
Oh please.

He has hated the media and people who disagree with him for decades.

Remember when Forbes gave an unflattering version of his net worth in the early 90's and he wrote editorials telling everyone how Forbes had it in for him and were jealous?

He is constantly whinging (decades!) about how everyone hates him and how it is not "fair"
Well, if you have been attacked by a certain group of people for decades, your trust in them would be absolute minimal, don't you think?

Trump's a horrible person and a mediocre leader at best.

He's also the one person with enough balls to publicly say "*** you" to all the progressives running the PC police and to the Christians demanding the government pray to Jesus to determine what breakfast to have in the morning. What is happening now is a result of both parties playing in their little sandboxes all the while ignoring the American public and not giving a rats *** about either the economy or the average voter. The Democrats only care about pushing their global progressive agenda and will do absolutely anything, including burning the country to the ground, to achieve it. The Republicans only care about pleasing their CEO's bank accounts and don't give a *** for the average worker.

Trump isn't a member of either group and both hate him equally, I told everyone this over a year ago when this ***started. The only reason he has a (R) next to his name is that he threatened the Republicans with running as (I) and targeting their voters. He defeated the Republicans when he won their primary and then defeated the Democrats when he won the general election, both victories will thought to be impossible by the established media and political leadership. The things he's recommending are actually stuff the average voter cares about and told him so, because unlike the two major parties he actually listened to the voters.

The Democrats are going to have a rough few years, their going to be yelling and screaming at him using all their bullying tactics and all the while further alienating those same voters. 2020 will come around and the Democrats will lose again and that will be the beginning of a change as people within their party start to actually pay attention and remember that their sworn duty is to the people of the United States of America, not a special interest or a global progressive movement.

Not precisely.

Obama has terrible ideas in your opinion. He's largely like Bush, imo. A seemingly okay person who is probably shadier than publically portrayed (you don't get to be president by playing nice all the time). But someone who seems like they at least try to do the right thing, whether or not you think it's the right thing notwithstanding.

Hillary strikes me as incredibly insincere and fake. And from all accounts, not a good person in private. But we have only hearsay on that account. Not a good person in general it's safe to assume, whether you like her ideas or not. If you really, really hate her, I won't begrudge you the shitbag part. I don't agree, but I can see your argument.

Trump is a shitbag whether you think his ideas are great or terrible.

...err....you do know you just proved my own point, right?

Obama is a shitbag whether you think his ideas are great or terrible. Reason behind this assertion is how he lead this nation. You cannot be a leader by A) completely ignore the people who don't agree with you (Obamacare, and the 6 years after he lost the House is all the evidence I need for this), B) lambaste against the general public for not electing the person you wanted to take your place (not only was it a public insult to him for not voting for Clinton, he has since been bashing the general public for electing Trump), and C) outright lie to the general public, both followers and not, in order to get your way ("If you like your doctor, you can keep him!").

Just because you worship the ***he produces doesn't mean that he doesn't produce ***. Quite contrary, all you are doing is worshiping ***.

Same goes with Trump. Except you will never see me or most anyone else here who is sane say otherwise.

You have an emotional barrier to ever liking him. Earlier you stated it, you've hated him "all your life". This makes you biased as ***, hopefully you recognize that.

I've just returned to the USA from working overseas for thirteen years. It's given me a very detached perspective to this whole thing. Watching both sides attempt identity politics, the Democrats being masters at it and the Republicans fumbling like idiots, all the while Trump goes with a "*** identity politics, lets make America great again". Great inclusive slogan that really got people to view themselves as Americans and not as "black, white, latino, christian, non-christian, straight, LGBTQOWTF, rich, poor, ect", the buckets the parties like to divide everyone up into for better control. Was fun watching the CNN and MSNBC news people break down live on national TV as the results came in. You could see their worldview shattering.

I'm labeled "conservative" because I point out the stupidity of the Democrats, yet the conservatives labeled me "liberal" when I did the same to the Republicans. I really do wish the Democrats would divorce themselves from the Globalist Progressive movement they got involved with. Such things only benefit the few controlling such movements and never the people themselves.

King, what you're discussing is general politics. Trump is not general politics. What you're talking about doesn't even apply.

Trump could make every one of us wealthy as *** and he'd still be a scumbag for his personal actions.

Saev...same response, really. I can view his actions objectively without liking him subjectively.

He has objectively done nothing that benefits anyone but him and a very narrow portion of people in similar position to him. He's just so good at posturing and posing that people buy into his ***.

And yet again, I realize people are just going to say "well that's all Obama did too!"

So...whatever the ***. I just wish some people would admit all they care about is themselves and their money and that they don't care what happens to anyone else as long as their own isn't threatened.

Instead they posture and pretend they care about people or ideals or the country...***.

I'm not trying to contradict you per se, but aside from religion I've never seen you express any opinion that was anything but disdainful for any "liberal" policy or belief. In fairness, I didn't post much in P&R before 2009 so maybe you were more critical back during Bush II, but...well, yeah.

Donald Trump is objectively a terrible person. Like his actions or not. The only question is whether his actions redeem his past actions in your eyes or further solidify his position as a worthless scumbag.
