I think we can all agree on this. I feel like the mental health test should apply to a lot of things though and should be like a drivers license, in that you need to get it every 6 years or so. Referring to it as a "test" and treating it as a standard by which you keep certain rights further stigmatizes psychological impairments and will make people more reclusive and less likely to be honest about problems they're experiencing.

And what conditions allow you to keep your rights? What conditions are automatic disqualifiers? I'm not saying I don't truly understand your point, and to some extent I agree with it, but I'm not sure you understand the wholesale type of change you're talking about. You're talking about denying people Constitutional rights on the basis of a diagnosis that is never 100% certain despite extreme likelihood. Yes I've since changed party (this year, specifically to support specific candidates in the primaries), but many of my core beliefs remain intact from many years ago. It's just that my approach to how best to achieve those goals has adapted. And the Republican party has changed a lot even in the past 16 years, let alone the past 60. Asura.Kingnobody said: » That's conservative talk there bub! Also, to be honest, I'd like to think it's not conservative nor liberal talk. It's medical. I care about people getting the help they need to treat their conditions and live normal lives. Even many -- not all, unfortunately -- but many people with psychotic disorders can lead very normal lives if they're receiving and taking their medications reliably and otherwise engaging in the proper therapies. And not everyone who shoots up a church or synagogue or night club is psychotic. Or even depressed. Sometimes they're just *** who had too much motivation on a very bad day. Oh I agree, a system like that would have to be well defined and be more geared towards the health of the nations people. I'm fairly certain it would turn into an abused system though. If only we had politicians that actually geared about the people of America, then maybe we could have something like this in place. eliroo said: » If only we had politicians that actually geared about the people Valefor.Sehachan said: » eliroo said: » If only we had politicians that actually geared about the people Ahhhh. So much crossover with XI when it comes to my feelings on endgame and gearing and all that and to some extent it's actually applicable here. Creepy. Offline

The winner is the guy who popped Hoo Mjuu and got the stick on the first try, while the guy that actually cares about BST is 0/50. You guys are living in the past. Jug pets are the way to go now. ; ;

I just don't think RNG's should use guns without an extensive background check and a mental fortitude check. They need at least 150 MND and INT to use a gun.
Bows, Crossbows and Axes are all ok though. Ye'll take me Death Penalty when ye pry it from me cold, dead, buccaneerin' hand!

It just takes one mentally unstable Corsair and a series of failed snake eyes and an overage of busts then next thing you know we have the next Windurst Rhinostery Massacre. Like really do we want some crazed nut who relies on rolling "cards" and shooting cards from some cannon strapped to a piece of wood running around the streets of bastok at night? |
