FFXI Vs NORTON
FFXI vs NORTON
I hope this is the right spot to post this but i just updated windower and norton went crazy. It confined a file named FFXI.dill calling it a trojan.gen.smh.2. When i tried to load ffxi it brought up a window saying windows was configuring ffxi, ran till about 5% of the bar then shut down. Its done this 4 times. Any thoughts or insight?

Can you whitelist ffxi.dll? It's a critical game file.
yeah my computer geek friend laughed at me and talked me how to calm norton down. its all good now. thanks though!
This happened to me this morning as well with Symantec Endpoint. I found just whitelisting ffxi.dll was enough to get the game to function again.
eww Norton... used to be good... a long, long time ago.

Delete norton, no "if," "and," or "but..." Seriously don't use norton. Even Avast is a better option now. Personally I use windows defender and malware bytes. Never have any issues.

Same here with that program, except I just turned it off for a long time now.
People still use/pay for Norton?
