I'm having the darnedest time of trying to find a way to view a zone from outside of the game. Much in the same way you can view gear/mobs in AltanaViewer.

Anyone able to steer me in the right direction? I have some cactus juice for you. ^.^

This is what you want. It's a model viewer that works with a few games- FFXI being one of them. It won't label the files or anything for you though, so you'll just have to play around with it (e.g. ROM 0 63.dat is Castle Oztroja).

The link is directly to the site of the guy who created the program. As far as I know, it's the only program that will read zone .dat files. Certain zones are too memory intensive for it apparently and cause it to crash (like Escha - Zi'Tah).
