It absolutely is an excellent ring, but the best financial decision is to sell ASAP while everybody is in a frenzy for it. I'm sure he'll make more with the massive profit, as most crafters, myself included, will be hoping to do.

if it was something that couldn't be replaced or melee were still in first place i'd be more liable to keep it

but as is, if i do decide i need them i can do 5/5 vagary in 70 minutes and redeem for additional mats so it's not like it's unattainable to make more of them
