Like many working poor do with luxury products how would reforming our economic system stop people from living beyond their means? or raising minimum wage? the federal minimum wage has been increased 22 times. 23 times is a charm? capitalism doesn't create idiocy, it just takes advantage of it. 23 might be the charm just ask Jim Carrey: YouTube Video Placeholder

Yeah...it's sort of interesting. I read about it yesterday, apparently the sky was bright and since there was daylight between the bottom of the trailer and the ground, the car caught that brightness as free space to drive. It's shitty. But clearly that was more at issue than *just* the system, too, unless the car went sentient and had a murderspasm. Still say that if it reduces fatalities and significant injury by a statistically relevant percentage, it's a system worth switching to. fonewear said: » How bout just a car would good gas mileage I like to drive myself thank you. Nope. And while we're at it, all electric cars will be expensive and/or ugly versions of cars that already exist, and you can have a tricked out gasoline version for less! Ramyrez said: » the car went sentient and had a murderspasm. Ban all sentient cars!!! I know people will rally behind this to demonize autopilot / autonomous vehicles but the guy who died was a big proponent for these vehicles and according my "i dont know ***about how these cars work" senses seems more like a perfect storm of circumstances than an actual failure of the system in place.
Can't predict every occurrence that would happen. Sucks but the dude would want the industry to push on. Offline

I refuse to drive a car that uses electricity the hippies win then!

Most people in Texas (the land of bad drivers) would cut 3+ lanes only to nearly hit the exit sign and/or ramp and/or the person who was in the exit lane (usually me) from when the lane actually started (or merged from the inramp lane). Just because they are entitled to do so. Also, without signals, because signals are considered a sign of weakness. Can't have that, everyone is supposed to read your mind, damn it! Reminds of a guy I saw darting in and out of lanes on the freeway a few weeks back. He used his turn signal as he was changing lanes, but not before. You know, in case you missed the fact that he completely cut you off without warning, the fact that his turn signal blinked while it happened makes it okay. Only a fool using their signals. Just aggressively cut in front of people like a goddamned maniac for no reason. Or if you want to be a real *** and violate the rules of road, cruise in the passing lane.
Or backup on an offramp. I swear, some people have to make driving a challenge.
Either that, or they want the newest model by wrecking into you and saying it's your fault. Can't have that, everyone is supposed to read your mind, damn it! Oh, sure, but I say that I think turn signal negligence causes more problems than illegal immigration and *I'm* the bad guy! |
