a lot of economist have said for the last few years that the larger economies leaving, but the smaller ones staying would be more beneficial. hopefully it'll work out.

On a side note, this also sets a precedent for a second Scottish referendum.

yeah, it's gonna be weird since so many who voted for an independent scotland voted for staying in the eu. during that vote cameron played scotlands access to the eu as dependent on staying in the union.
so it'll be interesting to see in that vote which union they prefer. union jack or european union.

Yeah, have fun with that negotiation. Brussel's is in the driver's seat, the UK voted to leave but the EU owes them nothing and doesn't have to give in to anything, while the UK has to make a deal. It will probably take a full 2 years to actually leave.
I guess now we have to decide our ambassador of Sorts.

I hope the economic repercussions aren't even half as bad as forecast.
The issue now is what are we going to do with Europe. We need a decisive agreement on that. Because Europe is so largely a part of our trade that we have to organise trade agreements. No matter what.
