eSports are fine being in here as far as I'm concerned, anyway. Not my thing but I can imagine that might be in the minority opinion around here
Well 3 of those 4 are at home so I think they will be ok, Houston has never been able to travel.

Outside of something like CentryLink Field where it is designed to be loud and gives a noticeable advantage to the Hawks. I never understood home field advantage.
Traveling throws off routines, and sleeping patterns. You generally eat worse on the road, too (because you're more likely to go out).
In American football, it absolutely matters with regard to crowd noise - being able to hear yourself on offense is important. The silent count isn't as effective, or people would just use it all the time.

well, there is this new team in the field, called Antiquing *hint hint*, they kinda looking for a sponsor and stuff, since you know, rocket fuel is not cheap and all.

I can't speak to baseball, but it can have an effect in hockey...
...though oddly, depending on the specifics, it can be the opposite of what most would expect. I've heard a lot of former-players-turned-commentators say that road games, even in really hostile buildings, have a tendency to help you focus more on your play. When you're at home you've got your wife and kids and bills and ***all distracting you. You get on the road, your entire schedule is just the game and prepping for it, and being in enemy territory means all the bells and whistles at the arena serve to distract the home team more than the visitors.
Edit: There's also the unfortunate entitlement issues of hockey fans that will boo their own team if they're underperforming. I hate when that ***happens. It's really irritating.

Jumping back to college sports, I never got really into them. In my small town area though we have like 4 colleges between two towns, and there are some rivalries there that are fun as heck to go to those games. Plus college hockey here is like 15 bucks to get in. Go Saints!

Yeah. I'm with you. I watch it b/c everyone does and I enjoy seeing good plays made as much as anyone, but I generally find it to be kind of boring.
And I just don't enjoy basketball for some reason. I think it's the squeaking sneakers and the off-court personalities of players...and people who try to say anyone has ever been or ever will be better than Michael Jordan.
You know what though, COLLEGE Football is fking amazing. Sometimes those kids will just about kill themselves to make plays, unlike the NFL where everyone is scared of getting hurt and losing paychecks.
Here's the thing about college sports (setting aside the NCAA, which is such a crock of ***I don't even want to talk about it).
I don't get college sports. People who never went to college, let alone went to the college they're fervently dedicated to following?
If you didn't go to a school, how do you have any significant attachment to it?
I mean, I get why I keep tabs on the IUP
