Which craft
Which craft is the best for making money anymore
Nobody is going to tell you what the best craft is because they don't want competition in their market. If you haven't noticed, anytime people ask "is crafting profitable" they get troll responses or people coming up with spreadsheets with numbers suggesting its horrible profit. Yet everyone is doing it on each server and making all kinds of HQ Abjuration gear and either big profits or something for themselves. It's all a gamble but obviously there is profit to be made in it, you have to do the legwork yourself and find it because nobody is going to spell it out for you.
not alchemy, unless you have a kupo shield
rest prob soon to be similarly useless Which craft? Witchcraft.
Fishing..

I just wanted to ask. I wanted to level smithing or goldsmithing but I really wasn't sure if either were worth it. I guess it's just something I'm going to have to research or make a mule ft each craft. I have 6 of the 8 crafts at 110 and the best answer I can give you is, they all have positives and negatives. To make money crafting you gotta be ready too lose you shirt too. Can invest 100m in synthesis materials and make a massive profit or lose every penny to worthless NQs.
My suggestion is this, what gear do you want. In 2005 I leveled Bone because I always dreamed of owning a Dragon Harness +1. Similarly leveled Wood for my own personal set of HQ Element staffs in 2006. Yu mentioned Gold and Smith, what is iit you want from those? Full Bushin +1 then level gold or Full Vale +1 then level Smith. Don't go in thinking crafting is easy way to get rich cause its not. Ive lost more gil in the last 2 weeks crafting then alot of people have every had at one time. If you want to get rich join a Merc LS and sell Reisenjima gear or Eschan NM kills to those doing Aeonics. Sorry for the long windedness but you wanted honest answer. Good luck in whatever you deside. =D Profit: Goldsmithing > Bonecrafting > Alchemy
Goldsmithibg; Subs: Alchemy, Leathercraft, Smithing**, Clothcraft*. Bonecraft; Subs: Leathercraft, Alchemy, Smithing, Goldsmithing, Clothcraft. Alchemy; Subs: Clothcraft, Bonecraft*. Level all sub crafts to 88 first and buy their emblems then make their stalls before you level your main craft. Then you can delevel them and still work on getting the last two +1 items (170k guild points, 185k total for each craft) with no worries. It will take a long time but will give you all options at best tiers possible with all subs @82 max. (Farm all torques too!) **This doesn't do anything special for tiers but lets you craft items needed for your main craft assuming you only use one character. *These don't do much but open a few options up and give a better tier 2 items. i guess draylo was wrong lol.
i am considering deleveling to get the stalls for my sub crafts on. unfortunately for me i leveled some of my crafts to 100 before stalls were available and was 110 before skills up were 10 levels over cap. lol. my only real concern is if the sub crafts reach t1/t2 before level 81. you really wont be able to true t2 91+ or true t1 without sacking gear slots for equip you need use to get to t1 on your main. Draylo technically should have been correct; MOST crafters don't want others jumping into their market, which can lead to profit reductions due to undercutting.
...of course you get fools who post anyway that don't give a damn. As an alchemist I would advise against it, I am making a good amount of gil at it right now but it seems inevitable that the ripple effect of the Asura Kupo Shield Alchemist selling cheap voodoo will make it to all servers.
Not to mention I believe there was another Alchemist Kupo Shield winner on your server. That said it's probably going to be whichever craft makes the more in demand voodoo/jinxed sets.
