For a crafter the shield suddenly turns everything 92-94 into a T2 synth, very powerful since it includes some cursed and 119 abjuration gear.

In fact of jinxed/voodoo synthesis, only bodies wouldn't be a T2 synth (using the -1 path)

Even a lot of the base -1 pieces (old level 75 gear) is T2-able with the shield, resulting in very easy jinxed/voodoo synths

Was it ever determined what the situation was with the kupo items btw? The way it was worded made it sound like rank 1 you pick the token which let's you pick 1 of the kupo items or you get a rank 2 where you...directly pick one of the kupo items.

The only thing that would make sense is that the token let's you have all the kupo items otherwise they just do the same thing.

Huh. Got Rank 3 for the first time ever. Is there any other rank 3 prize that compares with the difficulty of obtaining Platemail? Maybe Sagasinger and Gyve Doublet, but those can be soloed and apparently are possible prizes in the NNI campaign.

If you're picking between those 3, definitely go for the Platemail.

Yeah, for sure. I can get much more use out of it than the others, but I guess I'm just being overly cautious about anything I might be missing.

I completely forgot about buying marbles until like a week after the sale ended. While I was kind of disappointed at the time that I didn't buy any, I figured I wouldn't win anything above a rank 4 anyway, since my luck has always been terrible when it comes to the Bonanza.

To show you just how bad my luck is, for every Bonanza I've had at least 80 Marbles (at least 5 or 6 Bonanzas) with different last 2 number combos and never won a single Rank 4 (that's horrible with an 80% chance of winning one). Recently I've had 150 marbles with all the last 2 digit combos (I pick the same 100 numbers every time) and then 50 random numbers and I never won more than one Rank 4 prize per Bonanza, even with a 50% chance of winning a second Rank 4.

This time around, I really wanted to win a Rank 3 or higher because the rewards were really good/useful/cool. Of course my bad luck strikes again because this time around, I finally would have won a Rank 3 prize with the numbers that I always select. I hate the Bonanza so much, even when I don't play it. ; ;

Hmmm... Managed to get 2 rank 5's aparently.

I guess when it's a 1 in 1000 chance (with 10 different marbles) we feel like we might actually win, as opposed to a 1 in LOL chance with the lottery. On that note, get me some Powerball tickets too! We don't have the lottery in my state.

My mule won a Rank 2. I desperately would love to find a way to get a Burtgang for my main but since Cat's Eye can't be sent over POL (but Bayld Crystal and all other relic/empyrean can?, Grrr) I'm starting to lose hope. Will I have to settle for Excalibur? (Wow, that sounded horrible)

I'm open to all suggestions except that which was suggested by an LS mate: "go die in a fire".

I would get a kupo shield and level a craft. Make gil on the mule with voodoo/jinxed pieces, use said gil to buy alexandrite for your burtgang.

Crafting is fairly foreign to me. (Smithing 51ish, Fishing 80something) Can you explain the "T2 synths" mentioned further above? Or point me to a page where I can learn more?

3x Rank 5 on 2 characters. I picked up Yovra Replica, Shadow Lord Statue II and Shadow Lord Statue III but... SE had apparently forgot to put them in any storage slip or the event item storer (just like Prishe Statue or they don't care at all) sooo I was hoping to get 10 inventory back on my main but only ended up with 7 inventory back...

Bayld Crystal and Dense Cluster are on the undeliverable list too.

Turns out I had "Match Case" button activated when searching that list. Woops.

If your skill is 31 or more over the craft's cap, you reach HQ Tier 2 and your HQ chance moves from about 1/16 to 1/4. It's a massive jump.

Kupo Shield moves the max skill for any given craft (other than cooking :P) from 122 to 125. This moves a couple noteworthy abjuration synths, which cap at 92, into Tier 2 range. One of them, Jinxed Gages, an Alchemy synth, is selling on the Bahamut AH for 200 million.

I'm actually quite pleased despite nothing above a rank 4... because STATUE COLLECTION COMPLETE!!! (including both Nanaa Mihgos!)

Nomad Moogle Statue was also incredibly hard to get, it's a prize for finding a specific one of the mog tablets (Tablet of Temperance).
