Event-related
The final chapter of Rhapsodies of Vana'diel has been added.

Players must meet the following prerequisites to receive the initial mission.
Have completed the Rhapsodies of Vana'diel Chapter 2 mission "Uncertain Futures."
* Players must have visited Aht Urhgan Whitegate at least once after the Wednesday, August 12, 2015 emergency update.
* Players may be unable to progress with the final chapter depending on their progress in certain expansion missions.
* Progressing in Rhapsodies of Vana'diel requires registration of Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urhgan, Wings of the Goddess, and Seekers of Adoulin.

Certain key items available from progressing in Rhapsodies of Vana'diel will make adventuring throughout the land even easier than before.

Read on for details.

A new area, Reisenjima, has been added.

Players will be able to make the arduous journey to the isle of the gods as they progress through Rhapsodies of Vana'diel.

Movement via Ethereal Ingresses

Players will receive a temporary item known as an ethereal droplet when examining ??? targets located in certain parts of Reisenjima.
Using this item will teleport to the first of several ethereal ingresses. Once an ethereal ingress has been examined, players may teleport to it for a small escha silt fee.
* Only one ethereal droplet may be held at a given time.

A quest has been added to obtain a new class of weapons known as "aeonic weapons."
Aeonic weapons are of the same caliber as relic, mythic, and empyrean weapons. Their aftermath effects provides the ability to use radiance and umbra skillchains, which are a step above the light and darkness versions.
* Players must first complete the final chapter of Rhapsodies of Vana'diel to start this quest.
* Players will be able to complete the quest and obtain their aeonic weapons in a future version update.

Players must meet the following prerequisites and examine the door to Amchuchu's laboratory in Western Adoulin (J-10) to accept the quest.

Have completed the quest "The Usual."

Have completed the quest "Vegetable Vegetable Crisis," and have had one Vana'diel day pass after completion.

Rowing Together

Players must meet the following requisites and zone in to their Mog Garden to accept the quest.

Have completed the quest "Doctor Chacharoon."

Be in possession of the Sakura and the Holy Grail key item.

Mog Gardens have undergone the following adjustments.

Monster rearing rank 7 is now available, and the following related additions and adjustments have been made.

Two new creature families are available.

Up to four creatures may be reared at once.

Up to three creatures may enter your Mog Garden per Earth day.

The following items may now be used as feed.

New Chacharoon cheer effects have been added.

The maximum number of sparks of eminence that may be accumulated at any one time has been increased from 50,000 to 99,999.

The A.M.A.M. Reclaimer now accepts new items.

Unity Concord has undergone the following additions.

New Wanted targets have been added to the following areas.
Wajaom Woodlands / Mount Zhayolm / Caedarva Mire

Unity NPCs will now offer to teleport players to Caedarva Mire.

Players are now able to participate in Wanted battles without having accepted the corresponding Records of Eminence objective.
* Players are able to participate as long as at least one party member has set the objective.
* Players who have not accepted the objective will still be able to receive experience points (and capacity points if the content level is 119 or greater.)
* Participating players who have not set the objective will not lose any Unity accolades.

The maximum number of Unity accolades that may be accumulated at any one time has been increased from 50,000 to 99,999.

Players may now trade unwanted Wanted material drops for Unity accolades.

Players will now receive a bonus to capacity points earned based on their Unity's ranking.
* The lower the ranking, the greater the bonus.

Coalitions have undergone the following adjustments.

Coalitions will now maintain services that have been unlocked even if the coalition's rank falls. However, fees will increase if the coalition's rank has fallen below the minimum to use that service.

Ornery Dhole at the Inventors' Coalition will now allow players to select exactly how many obsidian fragments or skirmish stones they would like.

A new achievement has been added to Celennia Memorial Library.

A new option to designate favorite locations has been added to home points and survival guides.

Players may designate up to nine different locations as favorites.

When selecting areas at a home point, players will now be able to choose by region or by expansion.

The locations of the following home points have been adjusted.
Port San d'Oria #1 / Bastok Markets #1 / Port Bastok #1 / Port Bastok #2 / Port Windurst #1 / Ru'Aun Gardens #2 / Ru'Aun Gardens #3
* Players will need to visit the above home points again to register them.

Battle-related
The following additions and adjustments have been made to Geas Fete.

Reisenjima is now a host to Geas Fete.

A new key item, the radialens, has been added.

The radialens functions like the tribulens, but can be used an unlimited number of times before it expires after one hour, or its
bearer either leaves the area or logs out.

A new key item, the mollifier, has been added.

The mollifier prevents any lottery monsters from spawning around its bearer.

It will be destroyed if its bearer leaves the area or logs out.
*When defeating a monster, this effect will only apply if the last PC who autoattacked carries a mollifier.
The following vorseals have undergone adjustments.
*The prerequisite number of defeated monsters/notorious monsters has been reduced.
*The number of defeated monsters in excess of this prerequisite will contribute to the vorseal's effects.

New temporary items are available from Affi and Dremi. Each temporary item has certain requirements that must be fulfilled before becoming available.
*In Reisenjima, these temporary items are available from Shiftrix (F-12).

A new key item, the eschan nef, has been added.

The eschan nef can expand your carrying capacity to one billion silt and fifty-thousand eschan beads.

Floating books known as "Registers of Deeds" have been added.
These books have been added near Affi in Escha - Zi'Tah (F-10), Dremi in Escha Ru'Aun (H-11), and Shiftrix in Reisenjima (F-12).
Inspecting any of these books will allow you to verify which notorious monsters you have defeated and your combined victory tallies for the area.

A new NPC for engraving arcane glyptics, Oseem, has been added in Norg (I-7). Oseem will engrave arcane glyptics on equipment found in Reisenjima when supplied with pellucid, fern, and taupe stones.
During a Geas Fete battle, PCs, NPCs, and monsters not involved will be hidden from view.

The minimum number of players required to initiate a battle has been lowered from three to one.

The following additions and adjustments have been made to Domain Invasion.

A new domain invasion notorious monster has been added to Reisenjima.

Notorious monsters now remain inactive when not engaged in battle.

During battle, PCs, NPCs, and monsters not involved will be hidden from view.
*This effect will only apply to the players who enter the zone of battle.

The following additions and adjustments have been made to Sinister Reign.

New rewards have been added.

Winners of the final round will earn 1,500 capacity points.

The number of players required to participate has been lowered from three to one.

The following additions and adjustments have been made to alter egos.

New alter egos have been added.

Alter egos can now be called forth in the following content.

The area of effect of all Protectra and Shellra white magic spells has been increased.

The white magic spell Erase now affects songs.

The sort function has been adjusted.

Entries will now be listed in alphabetical order within their categories.

Gessho's alter ego has undergone the following adjustments.
Reduced recast delay for ninjutsu / Reduced spell interruption rate

Animation adjustments have been made to Semih Lafihna's alter ego.

The maximum usable range for the following text commands has been increased.

Jobs have undergone the following adjustments

Merit points have undergone the following adjustments.

The maximum amount spendable in the HP/MP* category has been
increased from 45 to 75.
*The merit point maximum values have been raised from 15 to 45.

The maximum amount spendable in the Status category has been increased from 60 to 105.

The maximum amount spendable in the Combat Skills category has been increased from 112 to 152.

The maximum amount spendable in the Magic Skills category has been increased from 80 to 112.

Job points have undergone the following adjustments.

Each job category has had its maximum value raised from 15 to 20.

The maximum amount of job points that may be accumulated at any one time has been increased from 350 to 500.

Gifts have undergone the following additions.

Gifts are now available up through 2,100 job points spent.

The "★Master!" gift has been added.

This gift is granted when the maximum number of job points has been reached and comes with its own special title and effects. It will also have an effect on your character's appearance.*
*This effect can be toggled on and off with the "/jobmasterdisp on/off" text command.

Certain expansion data will now be downloaded when updating the game.

Seekers of Adoulin will be automatically downloaded when updating, even if the data was not previously installed.
* Players must register Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urhgan, Wings of the Goddess, and Seekers of Adoulin in order to complete Rhapsodies of Vana'diel.
* Players must use registration codes for each expansion in order to play them.

Auction houses have undergone the following adjustments.

The duration an item may be placed up for auction has been increased from nine weeks (Vana'diel time) to 30 weeks (Vana'diel time*)
* In earth time, the increase is from approximately three days to approximately nine-and-a-half days.

A maximum fee has been set.

A maximum fee of 10,000 gil for listing an item has been instituted.
* The method of calculating fees has not been changed.

The amount of pets that can be active in a single area has been increased.

2. Select a folder into which the data will be output.
3. Place a checkmark in the "Take screenshot matching screen size" entry.
* This function will be disabled unless a folder is specified.
XInput (Windows Only)
Players may now use XInput controllers. As such, "Pattern E" has been added to the gamepad settings menu.
* This function requires installation of Directx 9.
* Certain keys will be unavailable if the controller is not XInput compatible.
Setup
1. Open FINAL FANTASY XI Config and select "Gampad Settings."
2. Place a checkmark in the "Enable XInupt" entry.
3. Select "Pattern E" under "Predefined Setups" as necessary.
The controller can now remain enabled even when the game is inactive. (Windows Only)
Players may now set the gamepad to be enabled even when FINAL FANTASY XI is not the active window.
Setup
1. Open FINAL FANTASY XI Config and select "Gamepad Settings."
2. Place a checkmark in the "Enable the gamepad when the game is inactive" entry.
Borderless Windowed Mode (Windows Only)
This entry enables the player to display the game at the same resolution as their desktop.
Unlike the full screen mode, this mode enables players to use alt-tab to switch to a different application window.
Setup
1. Open FINAL FANTASY XI Config and select "Global."
2. Select "borderless Windowed Mode" from the dropdown menu.
Players may now take screenshots during cutscenes.
A function to hide NPC visual effects has been added.
This hides visual aura effects from avatars and alter egos.
"/localsettings blureffect on" enables visual effects.
"/localsettings blureffect off" hides visual effects.
"/localsettings blureffect" toggles between on and off.

Known Issues
In certain battlefields occurring in Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, pets do not move according to proper methods.
