Spirits Within gets a bad rap, but it honestly wasn't that bad of a movie. Had it simply been called Spirits Within and not had Final Fantasy attached to it, I think it may not have left such a terrible taste in people's mouths.

That's the point though. If you wanna make a FF movie you have to make a FF movie, not just some random scifi stuff and call it FF for cash.

I enjoyed it for what it was but it certainly didn't need the "Final Fantasy" title at all. It had maybe one or two references to the game lol.
