I hope you are able to do a character restore. They really need to find a way to trace all of your stuff and straight ban/delete everyone involved or who received you things.

I was hacked on September 2nd. I called POL, they gave me a new password, I check my character out, missing 17mil gil, and a few items as well. I called back to POL they locked my character and I am still awaiting my roll-back. On the plus side they said they have evidence that my, as well as some other accounts were hacked by means of someone that worked for POL, and said person now has criminal action pending against them.

Wow I sure hope my roll back doesn't take that long. I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. Crazy inside jobs!!! Hope that person ends up in jail... with WoW players.

I got my account hacked about 14months ago I was like why arent my passwords working and was on FFXIAH checking to see if any of my farming had sold and saw my gear had been selling... lost 18M and about that much in gear probably lol.... PoL locked my account for 28 days and i got everything back :)

I was hacked in the end of August. Went to log in and my PW was changed so I logged in on my wife account and watched myself as I ran past DBing all my ***. I was on with a GM and watching all my hard work be sent elsewhere. After the GM's finally locked my account I had lost aproxx 20 mil in stuff. I did a roll back and had everything back in just under 3 weeks. The hacker even waved to me when I /sh "Get the *** off my account hacker" about 2 min b4 it was locked. It was such a depressing day. But I was never more excited when I got my account back and my Security Token™ arrived. I am assume it was a Key Logger that got my PW since no one but my wife had my PW and such. I had a friend check my PC and he said key logger also after. Not sure where I may have got it from but I hear rumors FFXI-Atlas was hacked and infested with them prior to me being hacked. A site which I frequented often.

Are the people being hacked using security tokens?

I was not at the time fo the hack. It had not come in the mail yet.

Yeah, a bit ago I tried going to atlas and firefox warned me the site had been reported with keyloggers/virus and wouldn't let me go on the site.

i got all y stuff back from roll back, my nin got setback to 33 and lost the most recent progress on nyzul climb but i got everything back and now have a token, i've noticed i got alot more rmt tells and fake gm tells too, that might be nothing really, it only took GMs a week to roll me back, the ls's i was in were glad to see me back on.

As far as I understand from speaking with the representatives at POL, this has happened to a number of others as well.

On the plus side though, if one is hacked with a security token, they will roll you back as many times as needed; equally proportionate to the amount of times your account was compromised. That being said, those that were hacked without a security token, will only be allotted one game data recovery (roll-back) for the history of their character.

I have a question for anyone who has gone through the rollback service successfully. When you filled out the attached form and sent it in with photo I.D, did SE respond saying they received it before working on the rollback. Or did they just go to town and get the work done? I've sent the information via e-mail to them 3 times since the 20th when I was hacked and have yet to receive a response. However my account is completely inoperable which leads me to believe they're working on it. (can't even log in to PoL) Just curious because it's hard to sit here wondering if they even started yet not knowing anything at all.

Well here's the steps I've gone through thus far from the 20th.

1. Locked account through a GM on my girlfriend's account
2. Called PoL support to have the account unlocked w/ new password
3. Found out account had be completely stripped and moved to Caitsith
4. Contacted PoL support via phone to start the rollback process.
5. Responded to an e-mail sent from them asking me to fill out a form and provide photo I.D
6. E-mailed the finished form along with my I.D
7. Waiting...

No response yet. However account is relocked to the point I can't even log in to PoL. So basically what I'm wondering is, does SE not respond when you e-mail that information in to them and just get to work?

Call them, you should have received a "ticket number" if you sent it via E-mail.
Make a point of asking for the same person every time you call. It is worth being put on hold a few extra minutes so that you can speak with someone that is slightly more familiar with you and your account, and once you develop a interpersonal relationship with them they will be more prone to actually help you out too.

When I got hacked I actually had to MAIL IN a notary form ; ;

call SE EVERY DAY
Or it'll be MONTHS before you seee your account

Perhaps this is a new record for SE but I could kiss them. 6 days from time of hack and I'm back fully restored -1 single ancient beastcoin and a couple wood working levels. ^^

PS, this reminds me of two different cultural schools of thought. In America we say "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" and in Japan they say "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down." I wonder if my constant calling has anything to do with my nearly two months of being without.

This may seem a silly question, friend just got hacked and his character now on Kujata, in friends list was able to see name changed to so looked on here on ah at all of his stuff sold...if things are sold from a bazaar like a KO when u do a rollback will he get those things back as well?...

yes, when i got my account back to get a rollback, someone had put all they couldnt put on AH in my bazaar, and quite a few pieces that had sold from that(gil from them was appearing on equipment screen) i had back, either in my bag or in my mog house. good luck to your friend getting his stuff back.

i was away at work and when i got back my account password was changed and i can no longer get into it i searched on ffxiah.com and found my character selling off my stuff.. how do i get it back?

When i got my account hacked i used another character i had to call a GM to lock the account if you dont have another character id suggest you send a messeage to a friend thru FFXIah or LS website to call a GM for you.

Bad news my account was hacked I but I got it back lots gear and stuff, gil was missng it was move in another servers names change all that done in d days wtf? my account is now lock to prevent further dmg I talk to gm and call playonline in process of sorting it out now >.>
