I'm not sure if this is Windower causing it but switched my videocard earlier this week and after that whenever i turn of my monitor and turn it on again playonline shuts down (getting same error when i log out from XI to Playonline).

What do you mean hotkey f1, in windower or a windows feature?

Edit: Googled on it and found a utility app that help me hotkey it. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Out of curiosity, seems like that only happens when using a cable which has HDCP capability? (Display port, DVI, HDMI, other digital formats that might exist and I'm not aware of)

Basically put your computer thinks you're disconnecting the monitor. The same will happen if you plug another in.

Disabling that (which seems to be that feature Leo said) should fix it.

Another way would be to do what I do and run the game in a VM.

Googled and looked in my nVidia tool but nowhere to disable it, dont seem it is even able to be disabled unless switching to VGA. So i guess my old videocard didnt support HDCP lol

I'll try asking on Geforce forum, but seems like its a dead end,

Hmmm this doesn't sound right. Are you sure your GFX card isn't going into standby mode when the monitor is off? Worth checking your power options in control panel.

The "Turn off the display" option actually puts your card into power save/standby mode. This will cause Playonline to crash.

nVidia cards are also pretty famous for randomly crashing pol.

Turn off the display in energy settings are turned off. Guess i'll have to live with it. Was planing on upgrading to another card later this month, a R7 (so AMD), maybe works better.

Seems you are not alone with this issue. From doing a little searching it seems it's windows display auto detect combined with your GFX card.

Maybe worth having a read here and try some of the solutions.

Good luck.

Also it appears a service in windows called "NVIDIA Update Service Deamon" could be a cause.

Don't your TV have a VGA plug in it?

My HDTV set is a little old (2009) and it's a plasma but it has such a plug in addition to two HDMI inputs.

Analog RGB isn't that bad really.

Are you playing on a PC Monitor or an HDTV?

If you're using an HDTV, the problem is probably because most HDTV's use a feature called "Consumer Electronics Control" (CEC for short). It basically makes it so all devices hooked up to the TV can control the TV, and vice versa. So for example, turning on your Blu Ray player will automatically make your TV switch to the appropriate channel. CEC is usually turned on by default. Look in your TV's menu and find the option for CEC - turning it off should hopefully solve the issue.
