Depends on how it is done. They won't be illegals anymore if they become legal.

I think you'd have to be insane to think that all illegal immigrants needs immediate citizenship but you would have to be more insane to think that deporting them all would be a good idea. The cost and violence that would be caused would be horrible.

There has to be a better answer out there somewhere but everyone is to busy pandering to mexicans to find one.

Maybe making the fee's on the immigration process cheaper and applying an immigration tax to illegals until they pay off the previous amount (or possibly a bit more). They then need to fund more into the program. More money, more people, more buildings and overall faster service. There is no reason a 10 minute decision should take 6+ months. On top of all of that put their green cards on a limit for government assistance and if they need to much welfare then deport them or provide a government job for them. Imagine all the roads that would be built.

Then after all of that they can put a statement out to be more strict the deport illegals let's say 6 months after the changes to immigration are made.

That option is much better than "Mass Amnesty" which will probably be terrible for us in general. It would create a ton of "grey" area that will most likely haunt us for generations.

Fix the system, don't just open it up.

Except up until now, that's what he's been pitching. "Get out and stay out, this wall (metaphorical or concrete) will stop you from coming back!"

And that's what his people seem to want. To get rid of the illegal immigrants.

Not "process" them. Not offer them any sort of clear path to legal citizenship.

They want them to get out.

Yea I know, I live around those people and hear them everyday.

I'm just exclaiming that both parties have it wrong and one of them needs to change their view.

Maybe him changing his views will help convince those to change theirs as well.

For the record, I don't think the wall is a bad idea. At least the thought of tighten up our crappy border security.

I don't see how empty pandering to Hispanics is something Democrats can complain about Trump doing. They've been doing it for how long now?
