Just heard that on the radio... I assumed it was already a stand your ground issue... it's never simple road rage.
Okay, look, despite where you come down on the "stand your ground" issue, can we at least all safely agree this guy is a real piece of work?

I'll agree, the guy is getting too much bad press, but some of it isn't exactly his fault.

It's extremely common for domestic cases to be dropped for various reasons, not all because they were false (though some are, it's true).
I'm just saying the guy is really, really good at getting himself into hot water and at some point you have to start thinking that he's not simply the unluckiest gun owner in America.

Either way, in all 3 cases, there was not enough evidence to file a domestic abuse case, which led to the 3 cases being dropped.
This time, it's very possible that he was an innocent bystander and/or was actually targeted. Very possible, but the opposite can be true also, that he instigated this event.

My mom's dad was in the military. Once, when she was very young, he'd loaned a shotgun to a friend of his to go hunting. When the friend gave it back he said it was unload, and my grandfather believed him.
It was the last time in his life he ever assumed a gun was unloaded, because when he was cleaning it he blew a child-sized hole in the wall right above my mother's head.

Jesus Christ Himself could descend from on high with His angels to present the literal Word of God that Zimmerman did no wrong, and you'd still have people frothing at the mouth and calling for his execution because Travyon was a good boy, he dindu nuffin, he was goin' to church every sunday about ot get his life on track my church needs more money for dem programs, etc, etc, etc.
The media narrative in this country is that blacks can do no wrong, anything they do that is bad is a result of all the things evil whitey has done to them and, like children or animals, they're never responsible for their own behavior or actions.
This is also the same media that chose to use Zimmerman's mugshot but a picture of Trayvon when he was what? 12? 13? That's in no way trying to shape or distort people's view of the situation.

Also, personally, while I don't think what he did was a civil rights issue, nor do I think it was necessarily pre-meditated murder, it was at the very least an irresponsible discharge of a firearm and using excessive force for his situation.
If he's so much of a coward he shoots every last thing that scares him he'll still end up in prison or a psych ward eventually anyhow.
