1. Gil is severely devalued in XIV so your argument that rampant RMT through the cash shop is a thing is bunk. The RMT are so annoying primarily because I imagine its hard to move inventory when the game gives you *** all to do with gil.
Unless you're doing tons of pentamelds or materia shopping, what else is gil crucial for?

This is why FFXIV is the failure it is, anything is ok as long as it's "good for business" huh? This is how desperate many XIV players are yet they laugh at this petition thread.

Game companies are after all companies first. They are there to make money. It is like people that angry at sports teams for trading a star player. They are there to make money first off. After that is everything else. This is how it looks on paper 95% MAKE MONEY 5% make happy.
