For all your fights that LGBT should have all these rights... it all comes with people wanting religious views to be villified as an exchange. This is the basis behind everything I have said. Why is the LGBT community more eligible to these rights than Religious ConservativeS? How EXACTLY does LGBT being able to marry cost you any rights? Moreover, why does the lack of a law sanctioning discrimination cost you any right? Who is trying to vilify religious people when they aren't throwing things at women entering planned parenthood or forming activist groups when a high school accepts an openly gay kid onto their sports team? Why is a bakery not wanting to bake a cake that actively promotes a Gay Marriage( a guy holding a guy, 'happy wedding 'guy name' and 'guy name') ANY different than a Lesbian exclusive t-shirt company refusing to make t-shirts for 'guy' and 'girl' bachelor party or wedding or something. Because, t-shirt companies don't necessarily make custom prints and would never refuse to make a t-shirt that actively promotes heterosexual marriage. They just want to live their lives. Why can't you get that into your head, they don't want any special treatment or special rights, they just want you to mind your own business and stop pretending that their being treated as equals harms you in any tangible way and stop trying to pass laws that discriminate against them. You're so adamant about personal freedoms, so long as you get them and nobody else does. Lol jassik.... let us just stop.. this back and forth is great for adding pages, but it does nothing in the name of progress. Long Live Gay rights, Down with Religious Freedom! burn burn burn! Without some of the users here it would be a constant *** fest ! The likes of which you've seen on Huff Post !
I see the problem here actually. Dipshits like you have no idea what religious freedom means.
Cerberus.Pleebo said: » I see the problem here actually. Dipshits like you have no idea what religious freedom means. What? We're all free to worship Jesus just like everyone else. Remember when Jesus told his followers not to bake those homos cakes?
I think that was somewhere in the back of the bible...

Long as the gay wedding cake isn't that vanilla *** !
Sexy cakes are even more important.
The main problem here is that a majority wants to extend their rights of being able to withhold service to being able to withhold services while getting paid to not provide services they accepted to give because they are religiously inclined to not agree with the occasion of which their paid services are required. It'll pass though. States can do whatever they want apparently unless it gets brought to a federal court. Even then, Hobby Lobby got away with some form of backwards precedent on the matter so itll get ruled A-OK to literally steal peoples money but not have to do anything youre contractually obligated to do.
Good Ole Murican Seperation of Church and State. And Like, Freedom of Religion and stuff (Even though, it doesnt mean what you think it does). Quote: Former technology executive Carly Fiorina says she is more than 90 percent likely to seek the Republican presidential nomination. And she is questioning the confidence people can have in likely Democratic contender Hillary Rodham Clinton. On "Fox News Sunday," Fiorina challenged several Clinton comments, including saying she used a personal email account for State Department work because it would be easier to carry one device than two. She said such statements raise a confidence issue about the former secretary of state, senator and first lady. Fiorina also said Clinton is not candid. She said that "suggests her character is flawed." Fiorina, who has attacked Clinton before, is former CEO of the Hewlett-Packard Co. She lost a 2010 California race for the U.S. Senate. Man, that has to burn. Who would have thought a GOP presidential candidate would hit Clinton so hard with such a devastating attack.
Bismarck.Ihina said: » Man, that has to burn. Who would have thought a GOP presidential candidate would hit Clinton so hard with such a devastating attack. Its not very effective. The attack bounces back and hits GOP! Its super effective. "Her character is flawed."
"Oh no she didn't!" So this popped up in my recommended YouTube videos. Warning it's Cenk Uygur.
YouTube Video Placeholder Bismarck.Ihina said: » Man, that has to burn. Who would have thought a GOP presidential candidate would hit Clinton so hard with such a devastating attack. But then again, you have your head in the sand when it comes to anything against any liberal or democrat, so this is to be expected. Speaking of devastating attacks, I see we've all become witnesses to another one of KB's witty remarks.
Now are you going to shut up or are you going to PROVE ME RIGHT EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Prove you right in what? That you are a low-information forum poster?
I was actually making fun of something you said the other day. I'm probably asking too much of you, but I'm sure other people will remember.
That was weeks ago. Get with the times man!

*yawn* RFRA's passage had nothing to do with LGBTs.

Oh I know.. that there have been news stories about cases where store owners were taken to court. The fact that there was news about this stuff... that is difference. No, it is not the same. Have any of the conservatives here actually researched the law?

Law should not support, defend, or make concessions to religions, and they certainly should not have any form of protected status -- including financial -- endorsed or reinforced by the government. Law should defend your right to believe what you desire; it should not defend the actions you take as a result of those beliefs, nor should it allow special status because of those beliefs. |
