I hope they announce you can play this offline for PS4/PC. And if you want online members to join your adventures you can.

"Masters of the Masks" was filed on the 15th November last year, shortly before Seekers of Adoulin storyline wrapped up. It was officially registered not too long ago, on the 25th February. Still unsure but it could be a new expansion. If it is then the southern continent would be a safe bet. SE might be able to divert some additional resources to the XI crew now that Heavensward is practically done so it's not as outlandish as it may seem. This is extremely optimistic but we could be looking at the following; - UI revamp. - PlayStation 2 support finally being axed. - Minor server merge. - Version update schedule being made public. - New expansion.

I just noticed the time of the event, it's early morning and I'll be in class, damnit! Sucks to be the last person to get the news!
I doubt I'll stay up til 3 AM EST to watch this...
8AM for me, with a bit of luck I might manage to listen to it on the way to work.
Strange thing is, in the context of an expansion in the southern continent I can see Chemist and Berserker (or a play on those two classic jobs) being adaptable to the setting.
We know through current lore (especially if you've done the Windurst path in Wings of the Goddess) that the southern continent is the Mithra homeland and is very tropical. Imagine Kazham but on a massive scale. Could see a play on either of those two jobs fitting in here. The trademark for Seekers of Adoulin was registered three days before Vanafest in 2012 where they unveiled it so it still seems to fit the timeline. It really is 50/50 though because it could be a mobile game as well, but if it was going to be an expansion that would most likely be the title. Granted I doubt that even in case of new expansion they'll add more jobs;
that being said, necromancer fits too. It's something they planned to use back in AU development, it's easy to implement cause it's basically an undead version of bst, and fits the theme of mithra(they're all very fatalist and grim). /shrug
They could always announce a 3rd MMO With Tiamat going Rare/ex all money drop NM/HNM are essentially dead now. I'm guessing they will announce a new expansion with 3 new land kings/hnms like the good old days, fresh drama for an old game inc. If not who cares either way...

don't tell me it can't be cause vandiel is not ivalice. After that fanservice atrocity known as xiv borrowing from xi and everything else, anything is allowed imo. Also mist frenzy = berserker job riiiight :D ok let me calm everyone.
#1 its not going F2P this game doesnt have the design for it. #2 its not closing its Doors. Abyssea armor announced update coming why would they? thats stupid. it wont happen What will happen? it will be a Yearly Roadmap of all there planned features, and they will announce a server merge bring it down to 3-5 Servers, Yes Leviathan thats means you, you will be merged. thats really all this will mean.
