Hmm, He either ninja'd them in, or they were to subtle for me before.

I think I just missed the link to the ilvl 114 section.
The ilvl 114 pet list has a link to them at bottom of main bestiary section. and the enfeebling list is in the ready moves section.

wonderful :D

It might be prudent for beastmasters to be wary of killer instinct and ygnas as a healer trust.

Apparently he's a plantoid, not a beastman.
so while fighting Oryx, Ygnas tried to cast Cure VI on me.. and he was intimidated instead of curing me.

Correct. You cannot get higher than 3000 TP, so Aymur's TP bonus does NOT help during Unleash.

However, the Pet Attack +80 does.

Dear BSTs - how is guttler AG? I've had it sitting at 119 I for a good while and have started updating my BST recently. I know Aymur is the best but it's quite low on the priority list for me so cant see myself making it anytime soon. Is the AG version of guttler worth the 10k plutons or are there better options? I have tp bonus kumbha for pet only, Dolichenus for master dmg right now. Cheers!

I really cannot say. I never built Guttler.

I can give informed Speculation
Pet Attack is the most important thing for pet physical damage.

if you can cap attack, the Guttler Aftermath will do nothing.

If pet attack is not capped it will do alot. How much of your damage is pet and how much is master?

it depends on situation and buffs.

if you going at it with Dolichenus, I think that will do better damage for Decimation, Primal Rend, and Cloudsplitter. I don't know how much damage you can really get out of Onslaught. Mistral Axe and Calamity should get better damage from Guttler.

As far as I can say about it... It can do double darkness for decent damage but is completely out-classed by the Ambu-axe in almost any situation I use it.

It's not very useful. I would skip it and use the ambu-axe for when I want to melee.

Thanks for the feedback Xilkk and Andret. Onslaught damage isnt bad, bst can get fairly high wsd which boosts it a lot and as you say the SC properties are nice.

I guess it's still a fairly niche weapon as you have to strike a balance between the master tping enough to maintain aftermath, but not buffed enough to be out damaging pet with ambu axe.. and pet not capped on attack.. Soloing content like omen or escha nms comes to mind?

Nice~
Very helpful for leveling bsts.

Also, I never realized ??? needles was Fragmentation.

That is the only ready move w/ that property.

Really making me mourn the lack of level 119 more ;.;

Two questions

1. Does the pet nukes from BST count towards Omen objectives like 15k non magic burst and 30k magic burst.
Puppet magic does but it does use black magic specifically.

2. I notice from basic testing. Bredo gains about 30 dmg per point of MAB and 6 damage per point of INT.
Does INT have an additional benefit of Macc on pet? Roughly how much.

1. No. neither do summoner or pup nukes. Ready moves count as abilities in omen though. Same with Blood pacts.

2. yes InT imiprove MAcc for ready moves. I don't have a ratio.
Falkirk has a test earlier on showing proc rate with just pet, pet + familiar and pet + pet macc set. Familiar giving +60 INT from Job points. the Proc rate improvement is clear and significant. but there is no information translating pet int to pet macc in numbers.

you would first have to determine int for the pet. Then int and meva for the target mob. then compare proc rate with and without familiar active.

Pup nukes do count actually. I've done the spell objectives as pup before.

I guess the difference is ready and summoner moves are abilities you use yourself.
Puppet nukes are spells it casts on its own.

Also Xuicoatl's trait of increasing puppet's job abilties by 25% doesn't affect its spells.

Yeah, it's quite a unique Ready move...

You always get 0 TP return from using it, and there's no accuracy check associated with it, as far as I can tell. It even hits foes that have Perfect Dodge active:

??? Needles is definitely piercing damage, but I'm puzzled by Needle Shot's damage type. Usually it's simple enough to determine by using the Shantotto in Chains NMs...

Wasn't able to get a positive result there, so if you have any other testing suggestions for it, I'd love to hear it.

Does Recquiescat work on the Shantotto nms?

I vaguely feel like I've had strange experience with this NM s before.

Might test warder of temperance with vertical bars.

Those nms are weird though with their very specific dmg. Like irrc last time I was fighting them I was able to deal magic dmg of the wrong elements but there's a note some slashing wont work on the slashing nm and ranged ones can do weird stuff. My guess is it's probably some kind of inbetween sort of counting as ranged but not

As far as the int to macc it likely follows same as player which means it will highly vary based on target and casters int. Don't think anyone has really bothered to find mob ints on anything high level outside of maybe apex mobs

Double Attack does very little for Tegmina Buffet, and Critical Hit Rate/Damage does nothing at all for it.

Multi-hit Ready Moves: Sweeping Gouge, Tickling Tendrils, Chomp Rush, Pentapeck, Wing Slap, Pecking Flurry
Critical Ready Moves: Foot Kick, Big Scissors, Power Attack, Sickle Slash

I tested on Warder of Temperence.

Needleshot is Blunt Damage. Go figure.

the data on Skeleton Scuffler might be wrong or incomplete.

for example, Holey Horror only takes damage from piercing, and ranged attacks won't work.

Is Needleshot ranged? maybe blunt ranged attacks don't work on Skeleton Scuffler. or some other additional classification that needleshot has, that does not work on skeleton skuffler.

Its Path D Claddy...

but you need to put a little effort in.
That one is a very straight forward comparison by looking at the different augments.

FYI, Emicho coronet +1 is fantastic for tp set, but a bit steep of a price when you can get near the same results with augments on Valorous mask. Coronet +1, though great for double attack, attack and stp, also lacks accuracy, which is sorely needed.

Emicho Guantlets +1 are just too good for anything to compete with really. The price there is well justified imo.

Lol thank you. That’s what I figured, I just wanted to confirm. You guys are awesome thank you for all the guidance, I’m new to the beastmaster world and it’s a lot to handle even though I’ve been playing FFXI since NA PlayStation launch. Pet jobs are just a whole mother beast.
