Rank 7
A: STR6 ATT12 Pet: ATT12
B: ACC7 ATT7 STP3
C: Pet: (ATT17 MAB7 enmity+3)
D: CHR7 Pet: (Haste1 DA1)

Gonna try looking into C path. Will update when I know more.

Looks like C may be an Arktoi+1 effectively? I think if ATT goes high enough I may use it to replace Kerecahtl in midcast (I only have 1 physical TP bonus +200 axe, 2 TP bonus +200 magic ones :\)

That's pretty disappointing :/

Escha augments largely seem to suck for pet jobs. Atleast Despair looks to be a cheaper(albeit weaker) option for a tanking set. And the helm is good.

Pazuzu still easy as ***with PLD BSTx2 GEO x3. He's very evasive though. I really think 2x BST 2x GEO can do him though, so go get your empath necks!

We just use PUP to tank Pazuzu. It goes better with our PET JOBS ONRY mentality. COR/RDM don't count.

Unfortunately I'm still converting the plebs to the ways of PETJOBSONRY.

Explaining that our pets have RME shields attached to their faces is taking a while to sink in.

Edit: New axe pics

I'm a fan.

Haste takes Utsu: Ni timer from ~28 to ~24 seconds. Lasts 3 minutes. Low proc rate, around 5% or less I'd say from eyeball.

Seems to be add effect: Haste 1 spell more or less.

Since I started playing /nin sub instead of /dnc, I needed a way to heal periodically. Since I no longer pull out my weapons, I augmented my 2 WKR 115 axes Hunahpu and Hatxiik with "Occ attacks twice and regen +3" from Prah Janimhar.

The +6 regen added to your existing idle/regen set is enough to keep me killing. You could even add the Trust: Sakura for another additional +6 Hp per tick.

Prah Janinhar WKR 115 Augment Page...

Hope this suggestion helps!

If you're looking for more regen...

Oce. Headpiece+1
Wiglen Gorget
Dawn / Infused Earrings
Muscle Belt +1
Sheltered / Paguroidea Rings

14/tick under 66% HP. I think Falkirk's is even slightly better. Replace body with Kumbari Akar and belt with Lycopodium Sash if your luck is > 0.

Absolutely. I just meant adding to my already existing regen /idle set for quicker recovery since losing master's tp is no longer on issue. Might as well put those weapon slots to good use while running around.

Tegmina Buffet ATTACK + TP Bonus + Crit atk + Double attack gear only?

Or does MAB help also on this? If not, what Ready move does BST have that are worth gearing PET MAB gear for?

Not sure about Tegmina Buffet but Bubble Shower, Fireball, Molting Plumage, Cursed Sphere are useful ready moves affected by pet MAB.

When gearing for Tegmina Buffet the stat priority is similar to most other physical Ready moves:

(Accuracy) > TP Bonus > Attack > Double Attack

The only Ready abilities where Critical Hit Rate would be helpful are Foot Kick, Big Scissors, Power Attack and Sickle Slash.

The only path with pet augments on Despair Helm is Path C - they're defense-oriented:

Quetzalcoatl.Falkirk said: »

Alternatively, you can choose between:
Path A: HP+50, VIT+10, Potency of "Cure" effect received +5%
Path B: STR+10, VIT+7, Haste+2%
Path D: STR+15, Enmity+7, STP+3

Usually Tiger, yeah (situationally there are a couple of alternatives you can use). And Razor Fang is the stronger attack.

So looks like Alluring Honey/Generous Arthur should be the pets used against Shiva from that testing. And Zealous snort seems much less useful now :/

For augmented Acro gear - which augment is better for the slot that can be [pet: crit+], or [pet:d.att+] (to boost physical ready move damage).
Does pet: crit proc on ready moves? And if it does, is it better than d.attk? Also does d.attk proc on ready moves (I assume it does).

There are only a handful of ready moves that can critical. And most of them you're rarely going to use. Double attack can proc on ready moves, but it's essentially the same as your pet just attacking regularly.

So basically, double attack will contribute more frequently as any physical ready move can double attack(I believe) but only the ones that specify critical(Big scissors I know does, I can't think of the others off the top of my head. Falkirk knows them) can critical. But it isn't much of a bonus as the Ftp of the ready move doesn't apply to a double attack. :/

FWIW Crab being PLD probably does help. Shiva hits like a truck...

For what it is worth...

Honey
Hp 6029
Acc 886
Atk 780
Eva 704
Def 980

Henry
Hp 5612
Acc 860
Atk 681
Eva 690
Def 983

So the crab has 3 more def and considerably less in every other stat. Also, Tickling Tendrils is damage varies by TP, whereas Big Scissors is crit rate varies by TP. So with decent TP bonus gear, Tickling Tendrils ought to be doing more than Big scissors pretty consistently. Unless your ready gear is augmented for Crit hit I suppose. I dunno, I never use the crab unless I am specifically trying to do low damage and not die.

Edit:

From the Dev Tracker

"While the addition of job point enhancements concluded with the May version update, we will continue to add gift categories as we move forward. Though I can’t give a specific time frame, in a future version update we are planning to increase the cap on job point enhancement categories, and we’ll simultaneously add new gifts. "

Translation: "Beastmaster isn't broken enough. We feel like people need more of a reason to play Beastmaster, so we're going to go ahead and make it unquestionably the best DD in the game by giving them a JA that increases their damage by 60% that van be used every 3 minutes and lasts for a minute and a half, and just a natural JP category that increases their damage by 20%. Oh and we figure Unleash, already the most powerful damage dealing SP in the game, needs another 20% bonus to damage."

The Defense Bonus trait is nice (DEF+72), but because HQ Snapweed has +30% defense adjustment (compared to Herald/Angus' +20%), Honey's DEF actually pulls ahead if you're wearing defense-oriented gear.

Doesn't hold a candle to Scissor Guard of course, but Snapweed's DEF is more than adequate from innate bonuses alone. :)

Maybe a dumb question but been trying to get some decent augments on my Kumbhakarna...according to BG wiki, leaforbs can give a variety of augments but after using about 80 of them (nq, +1, +2), I only saw a handful (Pet PDT, Pet Regen, Pet Haste, Repair Potency, Avatar Perp cost).

Can you not actually get Pet Dmg Taken, Pet Crit, Pet DA/Crit Rate? Or did I somehow defy the odds and never once see any of those in 80 leaforb rolls?

As for a second question, is it worth getting more than one of these axes if I don't have REM? Managed to end up with Pet PDT-5%, TP Bonus +200, Attack/Rng Attack +19 (which I'm going to try to swap to accuracy)...didn't know if I would effectively want two of these?

You'll ideally want at least 2. And yes you can get DT-4%, DA+5, or Crit/DA+4 I believe.

80 leaforbs is just the beginning of your troubles.

Did VD Shiva tonight and HQ Snapweed was taking 447~ Add Effect damage from every hit. Was getting absolutely rocked.

NQ Snapweed in Shiva D took between 400 and 500 add effect. There was no variation. Again, absolutely rocked. Was NOTHING like tanking her with the crab. If I didn't bring a friend for the test I would've wiped before 70%

Edit: Misread the MDB as MDT. Still, honey, for me at least, is not the pet for Shiva. I'd like to see how it goes for you guys.
