Gluten is a protein. As far as I have read about it gluten is formed by the way flour is processed into dough. So unless it is a wheat based product you won't have gluten.

It works as a coolant, but hot water can bring the human body to a safer internal temperature better than cold. But, cold water feels better psychologically and tastes crisper and cleaner. if it's not cold I die. Like right there, on the floor with the bottle still in hand I caused an entire family to keep the water always in the fridge even in winter, they didn't before I was born. Offline

Oh, I drink lightly frozen water, where there's a very thin layer on top.
I fill a water bottle or sports bottle (I recycle out of habit, and because I get back 10 cents a bottle) and stick it in the freezer for an hour. Edit: During a Canadian winter, I just need to stick the bottle of water outside for 10 minutes and it's ready Although you're probably doing no harm, it almost sounds like you guys are over-hydrating.
Not that I'm one to talk. I frequently will do several hours of hard work and forget to drink 'til I get home and consequently dump half a gallon of water down my throat. I'm sure my body despises me for it, but it needs to get mouthier about being thirsty. As a toolmaker no not hammers and screw drivers. In the summer time it gets hot in the shop I can drink 2 gallons of water in ten hours. Depending on where you live it can be more important to drink a lot of water in the winter time than summer.

I worked in shops in AZ and AK for years and I found myself drinking more water in Alaska than I did in Arizona. Jetackuu said: » It's odd, as when I was a teenager I'd drink plenty of water. Interestingly enough the city water was contributing to my heartburn, and I wasn't aware of what it was at the time... I need to start drinking more, kidney stones suck. This so much. Had my first one earlier this year. Didn't know what it was at first, thought maybe my appendix burst. Go to the clinic and they are like "are you alright, do you need a wheelchair?" Apparently I had gone very white, was starting to shake uncontrollably, and had a cold sweat. They take me to an observation room, and nausea sets in. Vomited for the first time in over 25 years. So they put me in an ambulance and take me to the ER. Was doing alright, still had pain, but then things took a turn for the worse. I started getting really, really tired and almost lost consciousness. My heart rate dropped down to 30 beats per minute. So they coded me, a bunch of doctors and nurses flooded into my room. They cut my shirt off, put some kind of clear liquid on my chest, and brought in the crash cart. Thankfully the doctor in charge had some sense and had them give me atropine. Then they had me get an MRI, sure enough... kidney stone. Unfortunately all of this was without pain meds. They say that the pain is on the same level as giving birth. My ordeal was only about 4 or 5 hours, I can't imagine women going through labor for 24+ hours. My hats off to those who don't get pain meds. I have passed them on four different occasions, all because I drank too much gator ade along with grinding particulates in the shop. Thank you very much dilauded for instant pain relief. Mine were just spewing fluids and solids from both ends, along with severe pain.
First one I just went home and slept it off (thought it was food poisoning), second one I went to a clinic and bam, kidney stone, so I went to the hospital (should have just went there first, would have saved me $) and they dicked off, so I dozed off in the waiting area (forced myself to), and then they prescribed me some narcotics and an anti-nausea pill and sent me home, it passed later, rather uneventfully. I've drank more water since the 2nd one than I did in the years before it, I'm doing even better in the past few months, but still need to up it a bit. Why does bacon taste so good?

I was talking about the raw meat and butter types. Even things like bagged salad mixes and fresh fruit. They might as well say they're gasoline free. Thankfully, most major manufacturers as well as support foundations have comprehensive lists of what products are gluten free. I was quite sad to find out Soy Sauce has gluten in it. I so enjoyed chinese food. I like it when labels say loud and clear "gluten-free". Even when it's a little silly like raw meat or butter. Altho since I'm either extremely sensitive or it's wheat allergy instead of celiac (I'm not buying the "it's just because you haven't eaten wheat for years that your body won't tolerate it" from doctor, I can not eat fish for a year (family member is extremely allergic so it's a rare treat for me), and be just fine when I do eat it), I still have to read labels that there is no gluten-purified wheat in there. For the record I have had several autoimmune symptoms the past years, but since celiac antibodies blood test is negative, doctors refuse to consider biopsy. I don't even really care anymore though, I just won't eat gluten-grains. I've felt a lot better since I stopped. Offline

I need all the water of the planet *claims all the water*
i heard we shouldnt let our children like sehachan, since theyve claimed all the water on earth. it'd be bad for you, like cancer i think. you know what? sehachan is against my religion too since water being unclaimed is in my opinion part of the word of god, therefor were allowed to get overly emotional and loudly offended when were told sehachan doesnt actually own all the water on earth and that we should like them! soccer moms and nascar dads unite!
I never drink water. If I did they would throw me out of the W. C. Fields fan club.
When people think about GMOs they think about stuff like BT corn and Roundup Ready wheat and soybeans. (I will refrain from going into what is wrong with those products.) They don't think about golden rice or the anti mosquito mosquito. Obligatory "who the hell has antivax friends?" post
Also anti-flu vaccines for the general population =/= antivax.
I get this feeling that the intelligence presented in this thread is about to plummet since it seems people can't distinguish between the two.
Oh well. Bring on the common cold vaccines then! 14,909 posts later, and you didn't expect anyone to comment on your seemingly arbitrary, drive-by remark?

YouTube Video Placeholder That is just a 2min video, imagine sitting there all night with your baby? Not to mention the sleep derivation the baby will experience which is needed for proper brain development. |
