Friend of mine is unable to post, currently troubleshooting with him. He said he just downloaded the latest Windower update, and after loading POL it doesn't show FFXI installed. He tried loading vanilla POL, same deal. He's on Windows 7, did a fresh install of POL, again, showing FFXI not installed. Any idea what could be wrong or how to go about fixing this?

Tell him to make sure his PlayOnline/Final Fantasy XI folder still has an ffxi.dll in it.

My laptop fought me trying to delete it last night for the first time, so this is still occurring.

He was missing the ffxi.dll, and after having me give it to him, it didn't fix the issue. He's gonna just do a fresh install and see what happens. (Norton immediately deleted the .dll and he has since disabled it.)

Thanks for the swift reply.

Exactly what I told him, but he insists on keeping it.
