The man who can be said started it all, Ralph H Baer, inventor of the Magnavox Odyssey, passed away this morning. While he didn't invent video games, we have him to thank for kicking off home consoles and the idea of being able to play video games from the comfort of our own couch. He was awarded the National Medal of Technology and continued working all the way up to 2012 to further interactive entertainment.






We all owe him some gratitude.
