True FFXI Characters In-game Advertising

I have been noticing that there is more in-game advertising services than the ultra annoying rmt tells nowadays. What's up with people now having exclusive ls's that dedicate their services to selling salvage gear? or check this out "Discounts with ToD's" for HNM camping. Don't relate this type of activity being intended by the game developers. Just doesn't feel right to me, if one wants gear, heck get a group or ls and work for it. How can official gamers want to dedicate or have anything associated similar to a "real job" in a game? Just my opinion.

Gil > better armour > bigger E-peen!

Some people are to lazy to get the gear Themselves so buy ls to get it for them, because people still do that, theres always going to be people advertising, and tbh, if i could, i would, they get serious gil.

Some people don't have an HNM ls or cannot do HNMs because of real life stuff, or just prefer to do stuff in smaller groups. As long as the gil is legit, I don't see the issue with buying gear from shells.

I but rare ex gear from linkshells. I made 6 mil farming in a week and purchased byakkos pants, the only item I needed from sky. Took me 2 weeks to get pants. Time is key.

Wait, what? Not intended by the game developers? God forbid. We had best stop tanking with NINs, then. Fine. It dosen't feel right to you. So go get your gear in the way you want to get your gear. If I, with no connection to you at all, get gear differently than you do, does that really affect your enjoyment of the game? As long as what i do dosen't hurt the players around me, I don't see a problem with it. Don't tell me how to get my gear, don't tell me how to play the game. You do your thing, I'll do mine.

I'm not bashing players on how to get their gear. I do not disagree on buying gear from ls's. I'd do it myself if I came to it. And again I'm pointing out that this is My Opinion.

What I mean is that there are a very moderate amount of people that devote their in-game time to working for these purposes. Time they can play their own game. I guess it is a form of farming their gil, and probably even do it in events they enjoy. Just to me it seems like it takes away the essence of playing. And the advertising I've seen around is just getting to me I guess.

I'm putting sure SE don't care about HNM shells selling gear, because on that survey abit ago there was an option for it on the "How'd you make gil foo'?" question.

I make most of my gil selling r/ex gear. It beats the hell out of farming for hours on end. If you have good methods to make gil, it's easier to just buy it from a merc ls than it is to spend a year selling your soul to some shell to earn it.

BTW, that SE survey a while back had a question about how you made your gil... guess what was on it. Maybe SE didn't intend for people to do this but the player innovations are acceptable by se's standards. Although it'd be nice if se would set up a means for us to display our services with out spamming WG.

I don't have issues with people selling gear for those who are able and willing to dish out the price to get it. However, I do have issues with linkshells that do it for NMs they don't even need items from and monopolize every pop just for the sake of putting gil in their pockets, leaving those who are legitimately seeking to earn it high and dry.
