Weird

I just thought it was completely weird in the last week. while leveling my SAM i came across a level 58 PLD a level 66 DRK and a level 48 BLM the only three parties in Quicksand Caves i made. But none of them had the Altepa crystal and I or other people in my Party had to Take them through Korolloko(SP) Tunnel. Now i left for awhile before coming back but is it just me or is this extremely sad?

I can somewhat understand not having the gate crystal, what with level sync and all the desert isn't really a popular level place. (not to say it isn't good, just not popular).

However, the tunnel is essentially a straight line. The map for it is buyable as well, though if they don't have the crystal it unlikely that they've ever went to Rabao to get it. Regardless, as I said before the tunnel is a straight line one side to the other and on said path would be no aggro for a 58, 66 or even a 48.

So I'd say it is quite safe to label this in the "sad" category.

naw wuts sad is when i seen a lvl 69 rdm in campaign with no subjob lol

The desert isn't popular place to level? =(

going to 75 with no sub is not sad. It's pretty f-in epic actually.

Must not have been around that long. Theres a trick to cancelling out your Subjob in MH that SE still hasn't fixed.

I mean honestly. I can't wait to get to western altepa. superfast shot from 41-44 on beetles right next to the book. oh well. we ended up doing a good deed and helping them get the crystal and then after the party we took them to rabao to get the maps. only thing that sucked was waiting for 1 1/2 for the party to get started.

I miss those days when random people would do such generous acts of kindness. Party is built, but takes 1.5 hrs to get started was a norm when it came to ToAU when I was actually invited. Only one person would be grumpy over it, but they got dropped fast.

Imo, if you have invisible and sneak you should have all gate crystals. However, if you don't have them you prolly don't know they exist unless you are a WHM.
That said I've helped a few people get Altepa's for parties. I remember when I didn't have it and saw my first antica. I was like OMGWTFISTHATMOB.
Gobs at the OP is great exp around 40 if you can stun bombs.
As for 75s without SJs. I see them around all the time and I suspect some people have just done it out of boredom. Not the job change thing. I mean getting to 75 without a SJ.

Don't really need a stunner for the bombs, even though it's nice. I had a party with a PLD tank and he just ran from the party to save them from the AoE. Was actually funny watching the bomb get tossed a long distance.
