It's not a bug, just an exploit. If Bungie wants to fix it, they will simply teleport Antheon to the middle when it falls.
Pretty much like hiding when you attack Templar up on a platform.
Also you get a Grimoire Card if you kill a Gorgon.

This strategy is actually really fun, lol. We managed to beat him in 3 reps with a few people using maxed Corrective Measures(Void Machine guns)/Gjallerhorns.
Kind of lame this bug exists but oh well, it'll get patched soon surely, and the people using it may go on struggling to kill him in normal means.
Are you talking about Titan's Bubble Shield or the Shield Relic?
Relic Shield. Time Vengeance will keep resetting the cooldown.

Atheon does but VOG is pretty easy. Grabbing randoms and easily doing it.
The Atheon cheese method is really depressing, lol.
So many of my friend list with Mythoclast now, and I know alot of them are cheesing it.
Meanwhile, I get the Atheon Epilogue again, from hard Atheon /cry.
I thought Mythoclast replaced Epilogue in the loot pool for hard, kinda sad.

we finally had our first go of it.
made it to the gate, but then I think people got tired & such. it was like 1am. so I guess we'll try to finish the rest tonight, if we can find those 2 guys again.
all I got was a bunch of shards & essence, but I'm cool with that because I need to upgrade the thorn. my buddy got the last word out of the templar. it was fun.

I've lost count of the amount of times I've cleared VoG, both difficulties included.
Have never seen a boss, aside from Atheon in Hard Mode, drop an Exotic weapon, for ANYONE.
Seen a load in the secret-ish chest before the Gorgon (gotten a fair share from it myself) but never from a boss (aside, again, hard mode Atheon)
The rates must surely be abysmal, such luck!

I've seen Red death drop from Templar... I think it was templar, or Atheon, but yeah, it's possible.

The drop rate must be really low. I was really surprised at first. I know the chest outside Gorgon's Maze has a chance to have an exotic in there. I got my Red Death in there last week and someone got a Hawkmoon last night there. The guy that got the Hawkmoon also got Red Death from Atheon, so that run was pretty good to us. Another teammate got 2 raid gear that he needed to get him to lvl 30. He's lvl 27 -_-. He also got 3 more exotics from legendaries engrams last night. DAMN YOU CRYPTARCH!

Did my first Nightfall and Raid last night. Got 3 Legendary weapons and Suros Regime. Happy I skipped out on Xur to wait for something better. :)

I too just got immense luck.
Got the final piece of raid gear that I needed for lv30, and the Vex Mythoclast in one run!
My luck with the raid has been really bad lately, so this was appreciated. Just shows how you could have some bad runs, then suddenly, boom.

Thanks man, the last runs were really depressing as all my friends were passing me so much whilst I got disappointing loot, this was an appreciated catch up!
