Ebola Patient Coming to U.S.

Be prepared! *insert here other catastrophic nwo events* In other news: The Obama administration must do everything in it's power to get this Kim epidemic under control! but will we all get to choose between marrying kim kardashian or getting ebola?
if so put me down for ebola. Put me down to marrying Kardashian.
It's not like I'm going to sleep with her anyway. So, I don't have to worry about being diseased.... I have a question. How can the nurse who was treated and cured of ebola look pretty healthy during some of the in person interviews when she was still in isolation? Thought the disease was suppose to fck you up pretty bad

Shiva.Nikolce said: » thanks. iono to me her treatment and recovery seemed like an overnight miracle cure. then again maybe my perception of time has skewed since days seem to meld together a lot lately she said that's not the only thing that's skewed. /rimshot
also.... it's only 58 days until christmas!!! Shiva.Nikolce said: » it's only 58 days until christmas!!! you going to get us something :3 ? Ebola-mas or Christmas Ebola?
Ebola's War on Christmas? Too soon? How about Black Friday Ebola Sales? Ebolasgivings? Lakshmi.Zerowone said: » Ebola-mas or Christmas Ebola? Ebola's War on Christmas? Too soon? How about Black Friday Ebola Sales? Ebolasgivings? Ebola-ween! Facing fierce resistance from the White House and medical experts to a strict new mandatory quarantine policy, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said on Sunday night that medical workers who had contact with Ebola patients in West Africa but did not show symptoms of the disease would be allowed to remain at home and would receive compensation for lost income. Way to go White House. Strong arming those governors who are picking up your slack. Making the commander in chief look bad will not be tolerated. “If he knew anything about Ebola he would know that asymptomatic people are not infectious,” Ms. Hickox told CNN. Clearly this woman doesn't understand the concept of "quarantine". Yes, way to go for not overreacting and being sensible about something based on the facts.
/clap Plus you bolded the wrong part, you should have put "medical experts" in bold. Clearly you don't understand the concept of asymptomatic. let me know when they're dropping napalm in the streets pls

Clearly you don't understand the concept of asymptomatic. Clearly no one under a voluntary isolation would ever do anything like fly if/when they become symptomatic or anything. THAT would never happen, amirite? Sorry Jet, the "honor" system just isn't gonna cut it. Ebola is not the flu. It isn't contagious unless you're symptomatic, and last I checked Amber wasn't in isolation when she flew. Again: clearly you don't understand the concept of asymptomatic not being contagious. Your fear mongering is beyond laughable at this point and is just outright sad. Your fear mongering might be justified if this were a strain of the flu that was this deadly, but it isn't, it isn't the flu, it doesn't spread like the flu. They've monitored hundreds of extra people now (wasting resources, fiscal responsibility, eh?) to be extra cautious. Rational heads will prevail in this, and yours isn't one of them. No I understand it perfectly. They should still be quarantined because if they aren't they will be doing things like going bowling or flying on a crowded plane if/when they eventually start to show symptoms. That's the danger the quarantine is aims to avoid. This isn't the flu. This kills up to 90% of the people it infects. Just because you don't test positive for it doesn't mean you don't have it. You realize the whole reason she was in isolation was because she was over there AND had a fever when she came back right? EDIT: In what universe does a disease that kills up to 90% of the people it infects become less dangerous than a disease that kills under .05% of the people it infects. Caitsith.Shiroi said: » It's actually under 50%, in third world countries. Ragnarok.Nausi said: » EDIT: In what universe does a disease that kills up to 90% of the people it infects become less dangerous than a disease that kills under .05% of the people it infects. When the amount of people who died in the US alone in 2009 from the H1N1 strain was over twice the amount of deaths ebola has caused thus far. (about 12k US deaths for the Flu, about 5k West Africa deaths), 1 US death. You're fear mongering, the flu is deadlier (also, more dangerous). (hint: death per rate of infection isn't the only # you have to deal with, you also have to deal with how many are infected). |
