In a nut shell sounds about the way things turn out.

As reported:

Palestinians want an Israeli-Egyptian blockade on Gaza lifted and prisoners held by Israel to be freed. Hamas's armed wing said it was ready to resume fighting unless Palestinian demands were met, and Israel said it would respond forcefully if attacked.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blatantly defended Tel Aviv’s bloody massacre of Gazans as ‘proportionate,’ while attempting to shift the blame for heavy civilian toll onto Palestinian resistance fighters.

During a Wednesday news conference, the Israeli premier described the Tel Aviv regime’s month-long military aggression against the inhabitants of Gaza as “proportionate” and “justified.”

“I think it was justified, I think it was proportionate. That doesn’t in any way take away from the deep regret of loss we have for a single civilian,” Netanyahu said at a press conference in Jerusalem for foreign news media.

The criminal Israeli leader also pretended to feel sorry about the death of civilians in the besieged Palestinian territory, saying the heavy death toll is of “Hamas’ own making.”

He added that the attacks on UN schools were not only appropriate, but that it would have “been a moral mistake” to not attack those schools, because it would’ve given Hamas de facto permission to launch attacks from those schools.

“That’s obviously a mistake. It’s a moral mistake. It’s an operational mistake. Because ... it would hand an enormous victory to terrorists everywhere.’”

Netanyahu claimed that Hamas uses people as “human shields,” adding that the Palestinian resistance group uses schools and hospitals to hide fighters and weapons.

The hawkish Israeli premier made the claims in a desperate attempt to exonerate Tel Aviv amid harsh international criticism of the regime for its brutal carnage in the impoverished Gaza Strip.

On Thursday, Amnesty International said Israel has conducted “deliberate attacks” on hospitals and health workers in Gaza, calling for an immediate investigation into Tel Aviv’s aggression.

Reports coming out of Gaza also indicate that the Israeli military has used banned weapons, including white phosphorous bombs, in its attacks on the residents of the densely-populated area.

Seems like they're still in negotiations as everything is just analysis atm.

Quote:
The success of Egypt's new leadership in reaching an "extendable" 72-hour humanitarian truce between the Israelis and the Gaza-ruling Hamas promotes the North African country's role in the region, analysts said.

Egypt has managed to broker a ceasefire between Israel and the armed Islamist resistance movement that started early on Tuesday, after the almost-month long Israeli offensive against the restive Gaza Strip left more than 1,850 Palestinians killed, over 9,550 wounded. Meanwhile, 64 Israeli soldiers and three civilians killed.

Late on Wednesday, Egypt's State TV reported that Israel agreed to extend the ongoing truce "with neither conditions nor time limit."

Egypt received Palestinian and Israeli delegations in the capital Cairo after Hamas initially rejected the Egyptian ceasefire initiative proposed in mid-July when the number of Palestinian victims did not exceed 200. Israel has recently refused to send a delegation for talks in Cairo but it finally did on Tuesday.

"The Egyptian initiative and its brokered negotiations over the past 48 hours showed Egypt's success in bringing the conflicting parties to Cairo and reach a ceasefire on the ground," Tarek Fahmy, political science professor and expert at the National Center for Middle East Studies, said.

The expert noted that Hamas and the Islamic Jihad influential Palestinian groups sent extra members on Tuesday, who were stuck in Gaza, to join the talks in Cairo.

"The discussion sessions on the Palestinian side were positive, " Fahmy said, noting the new Palestinian negotiators are "high- profile experts and technicians."

Cairo has lately been the destination of United States, European and Asian diplomats until the 72-hour "extendable" humanitarian truce was reached. The Egyptian leadership is currently intensifying communications and talks to reach a permanent truce between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

If I was trying to prove that Abraham could be called a Muslim based on the Quran while talking to a Jew, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, agnostic or atheist, then you would've had a point.
Then you missed my point also.

My point is that the Bible (Old Testament) was around a lot longer than the Quran.

The Quran pretty much took a fictional character from the Old Testament and skewed it to fit their agenda (who would have thought?).

That is like me taking everything in relation of Cloud into a different RPG and making him the hero in a completely unrelated (to FFVII) story and saying that this is how it is.
At this point, it seems to me that you just like to argue back. My reply would be pretty much a repeat of what I just said.

PressTV is Iran. So in a round about way, still no. :P
But biased, yes. All media is biased in some fashion and some more than others. Iran tends to side with the Palestinians.

For the record I use multiple news sources.

If I find something interesting I will check it against the others to see their take.

The order tends to go like this:

-Main-
RT (Russia)
Reuters (U.S.)
PressTV (Iran)
Telegraph (U.K.)
Xinhuanet (China)

-Secondary- (No order)
Fox
BBC
ABC
Yahoo (just cause Yahoo comments are funny to read, also causes sources like WSJ and good for an aggregate)
Infowars (to see if it's one of those stories)

And if I'm looking for something interesting:
The Daily Beast
Bloomberg
The Guardian

And remember:

All things considered I can't blame them for taking that side.

In this particular conflict I am grudgingly on Israel's side.

And in tracing those stories I found out that the UNRWA gave the rockets they found to Hamas for "disposal".... - New American which looks even further right wing than Fox or Britebart.

I usually ignore New American because even Infowars tends to ignore them.

I don't consider it right wing, it's just plain made up.

And if beforeitsnews is carrying it, then it's usually made up.

My best friend gave up reading the news partially for that reason, partially to have more time for her new mini farm.

I told her "its OK, I read the news so you don't have to."

That was 4? 5? months ago. I found only two stories that would genuinely interest her in that time. Sent her the first, haven't found the second in print yet.

Those are NOT among my usual news sources, just the first place I found the stories I was looking for.

I am quite aware how much "news" in America's right wing fringe is cut from whole cloth, but in these cases they aren't. They do beat the drum in a splendid fashion though.

How can someone that lived before prophet Muhammad know the word Islam, Muslim or Allah?...
Allah is Arabic for God.

The God of Abraham, Isac, and Jacob. The God Christians call Jehovah, Hebrew scholars call Yhwh, and religious Jews cannot name even in writings (the closest I can come to the workaround of God's name in the Torah on an English keyboard is ''. Its shorthand for the Tetragrammaton.)

Suffice it to say, Allah, under another name, was known by Abraham. And all us people of the Book.

Gaza militants fired a barrage of rockets at Israel on Friday as Palestinian factions at talks in Cairo refused to extend a 72-hour ceasefire in the devastating month-long conflict.

But negotiations for a new truce were still ongoing in the Egyptian capital, as residents in southern Israel took shelter from the rockets and Gazans were fleeing their homes in fear of Israeli retribution.

The Israeli army said at least 10 rockets had targeted the south of the country, with one intercepted over the coastal city of Ashkelon. Police said they caused no harm or damage.

The projectiles were fired shortly after 0500 GMT, when the 72-hour ceasefire in four weeks of fighting in and around Gaza reached its end after Palestinian factions refused to extend it.

"All the Palestinian factions, including Hamas, have agreed not to renew the ceasefire because (Israel) is refusing to accommodate our demands, but negotiations continue in Cairo," Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhum told AFP.

A Palestinian official said Gaza's de facto rulers Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, a smaller faction also at the Egypt-led talks, had agreed a ceasefire but then there was an alteration in wording of an agreement regarding the Israeli blockade on Gaza.

The official said members of the Palestinian delegation to the talks, which is led by a representative of Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, would meet after noon to *** their stance.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had no immediate comment on the latest developments, but a member of his cabinet warned of a "harsh" reaction to the rocket fire.

And so the struggle continues. You guys failed to bring peace to middle east. Disappointed!

Quote:
Israel launched air strikes across the Gaza Strip on Friday in response to Palestinian rockets fired after Egyptian-mediated talks failed to extend a 72-hour truce in the month-long war.

As rocket-warning sirens sounded in southern Israel, the military said Hamas had fired at least 18 rockets from Gaza and Israel's "Iron Dome" interceptor system brought down two. Gaza militants said they had fired 10 rockets on Friday.

In the first casualties since hostilities resumed on Friday, Palestinian medical officials said a 10-year-old boy was killed in an Israeli strike near a mosque in Gaza City. In Israel, police said two people were injured by mortar fire from Gaza.

After a huge explosion in Gaza City, apparently from an air raid, a military spokesman said Israel had responded to Hamas rocket fire by launching air strikes at "terror sites" across the Gaza Strip.

"We will continue to strike Hamas, its infrastructure, its operatives, and restore security for the State of Israel," Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Lerner said in a statement.

An Israeli government official said Israel would not negotiate with Palestinians about renewing the truce in Gaza as long as militants continued to launch rockets.

Heavy civilian casualties and destruction during Israel's campaign against militants in packed residential areas of the Gaza Strip have raised international alarm over the past month, but efforts to extend a ceasefire at talks in Cairo failed.

Anyone noticed a pattern here?

It is always Hamas who fires the first shots.

Hamas is the one who breaks the ceasefire, Hamas is the one who starts the fighting all over again, Hamas is the one who fires from hospitals and schools, then leaves and takes pictures of the retaliation.

They did wait until the truce was over this time. So it's an improvement.

Their terms of ending the blockage were not met, so they did what they said they were going to do, and fire rockets again.

If they desired peace, like the Hamas apologists proclaim, one wouldn't expect them to instigate war all the time though....

A while back we discussed an article wherein a doctor from Palestine accused the Israelis of creating suicide bombers through their actions.

I wonder if he's ever considered the inverse; that HAMAS militants are killing their own people's children by constantly firing upon Israel, knowing a counterstrike is coming.

These *** idiots need to stop shooting at each other.

Actually most news reports stated that the first rockets were fired before dawn (prior to the cease fire expiring). Israel however did not retaliate on the first launches and waited for the cease fire to expire.
