Actually, my conclusion with this was: new skirmish will come in august, somehow it should require wailing stones (or/and others, who knows?), so prepare to stockpile stones to upgrade as soon as new skirmish arrives.
My guess with the new skirmish is new sets, as iirc, dev said they wont upgrade again the original gear.

Actually making +2 would make sense*. They already did it with weapons.
*within the context of what they've done already. I hate the Altana-cursed Skirmish augmenting system. Random-*** piece of ***.
I just wish SE would add an alternate augmenting method, such as "trade 5 stones of the same type along with the weapon/gear and choose the augment you want". Even if it is just an increased chance you'll get that augment.

I wish they would shitcan the random augment process. It's been causing headaches and rage for years now going back to the abjuration gear (I have used over 400 wyrmal tatters and STILL do not have max Quick Draw delay reduction on my Blood Mask). Everything should work like the WKR; you get pool A, pool B, etc. Maybe for each tier of stone you get an additional pool up to three.
I don't know. But blowing 700k for 2 PDT that you can get off of an NQ stone is just a kick in the groin.
Screw skirmish gear. I make my sets around not getting any of that crap. Rather sell the stones and make some one else sad about getting horrible augments then myself.

Essentially how I've been doing it. I use the stones I get but mostly don't buy any. Not worth the headache.

They probably add new Area => new Delve/Wildkeeper/Skirmish.

as long as that new content in august is as challenging and fun as delve was when it first came out, then i sure as hell wont get caught flat footed! but if it isnt and its easy as *** for everyone to do with rng's pld brd ect again then it might as well be login campaign version 2.

That's unfortunate.
Fun character design...but so tired of online games at this juncture. Even my time in XI has been overall trending down despite a recent bump in my weekend playtime.
I am not a fan of the armor design. I hate having to wear ituli mask on my blue mage. I hope they do empy upgrades soon.
