Thank you.

I believe one guy in another thread said he did 9000-ish damage at 3000 tp with KI up and ionis in morimar. Personally, I use cloudsplitter on crap that is not strong/resistance to lighting. Pretty consistent. Perhaps someone can test primal rend; 9000-ish is pretty good^^

I was meriting in outer raz on lvl 113-115 Twitherym today.

This is what I saw when doing various WS

Cloudsplitter 4000 dmg at 3000 tp
Primal rend 3100 dmg at 3000 tp
Calamity 5500-6200 dmg at 3000 tp
Decimation 1200-2000 dmg at 3000 tp

Bora Axe 2500-4000 dmg at 1000-3000 tp. I don't think how much tp you have affects this ws and it just increases the chance of binding.

Mistral Axe 2500-4000 dmg at 2000-3000 tp

Onslaught - 3000-5400 dmg at 1000 tp
Ruinator - 4000-6000 dmg at 1000 tp

My cloudsplitter and primal rend ws sets are fairly modest. For str modifier ws I used my ruinator set. For Bora Axe I used my Onslaught set. There's a lot of room left for optimization.

Calamity definitely surprised me the most. I think i'll gear it properly and see how high it can go. Onslaught is pretty much the same as before.

Put together a Calamity set and I was hitting around 8000-9000 dmg at 3000 tp on the mandys outside of adoulin.

It was a small sample. Have to head to work now so I won't be able to test more. I still haven't seen it DA yet. Fully expecting a wtf moment when that happens.

Updated my Rampage ws set. Target: 113-116 Twitherym Outer Raz

1000 tp - 3000-4200 dmg
3000 tp - 3000-5200 dmg

Not bad of a ws. I'd rank it slightly below Onslaught.

Also made a Raging Axe ws set. It was pretty consistent ws at 3000 tp

3000 tp 4500-5200 dmg

It did drop to around 3200-3600 dmg when one hit missed.

I’ve recently gotten rid of Ruinator (it was only 1/5, but was still surprisingly powerful on fodder) due to how little I use BST these days, and I was just curious, post adjustment, what the “go-to” WS would be in the scenario that a player neither has Ruinator nor Onslaught? Is Rampage presently the “best” alternative axe WS at lower TP with Calamity at 3000? That’s what it looks like at a glance from reading the previous posts, but I’d like to confirm that before I start making adjustments to my sets and macros in the event that I might want to fire up the ol’ BST at some point.

Thanks

EDIT: I don't have Primal Rend or Cloudsplitter either.

Given your restrictions your two choices of WS would be Rampage and Bora Axe. Bora Axe recently recieved a pretty big buff. When I was messing around with it I didn't have an optimal set for it but it was still doing slightly lower than my optimized Rampage set. It might be better with more effort put into the set.

That being said, I consider Ruinator one of the perks of playing bst. It really is head and shoulders better than every other WS we have.

I tested runinator and onslaught right after the update and onslaught was winning every time, I considering fulltime onslaught.

I'm in no way denying that, it's an extremely powerful weaponskill that I've let dwindle from 5/5 down the 1/5 to an eventual 0/5 for as little as I currently play the job… The merits I dumped from Ruinator have gotten put into 5/5’ing Exenterator which is now being beaten by Evisceration (Thanks, SE!) -_-

I’m going to leave my merits alone for the time being because I imagine if SE makes any additional adjustments to WS damage values that it will happen sooner rather than later, and at 20 merits just to 1/5 these weaponskills I’m not going to be raising and lowering them willy-nilly anymore…

So in my current situation make a Rampage set and call it a day?

EDIT: Here's what I've got so far for Rampage
ItemSet 315335
I'm thinking Gorney +1 for body/legs, but I haven't bought them yet so I'm still using Xaddi path A rank 15 in there atm, as well as possibly ditching the Pyrosoul for a Rajas for more dex/crits/whatever... The Hecatomb Mittens have +4% crit dmg on them, so that's why I put them in there. Thoughts?

Additional EDIT: Have since changed build a little bit since making original post.

I've gotten the opposite conclusion from using it the past week. I consider onslaught our 2nd best WS but it still isn't quite on par with Ruinator. I generally need it to DA to get it up to ruinator numbers. What does your onslaught set look like? Maybe I'm missing something.

Rampage is pretty easy to gear for so that would be the go to WS in your situation.

Just ran your set through the spreadsheet. Some improvements would be

Head > Otomi Augmented with 8 str
Hands > Buremte gloves with 8 str
Body > Gorney +1
Legs > Gorney +1

Minor improvements would be

Ele belt beats wanion by a very small amount
Buquwik belt and Rancor collar beat Rancorous mantle and neferious collar by a very small amount also
