So since this thread is here, how expensive is it to get to 50 using these kits? >.>;
50 levels * ~20 synths per level = 1000 synths * 2.2k average kit + 800g average crystal = ~3m

That's assuming that you get a skillup once every other synth, and you can average .05 skillups overall.
skillup rate below 50 is 50%, so yes it is

you need to have talked to the guild master once to get that original cs with the crystal to get support, that's being a member

Do you just use a crystal, and the kit, and it makes the item/skills up? to the cap of said kit?
I'm completely skill capped, but a god send for mules who lack subs, my 110 wood and 105 gold etc.

Ive already capped main and sub on my char (up to 100 at least) a long time ago. But im curious how these things work entirely.

No, it's a consumable. It is expended every synth, but seems to have a 100% use rate. aka it will always be lost if you break.

There are two npcs that sell mats at each guild. One of the existing npcs before the update now has the kits and certain mats which can unlocked at different ranks. That NPC is open 24/7 and does not run out of stock. The other NPC still functions the same before the update except there is no guild holiday.
Future updates will add recipes to the craft history under Synthesis -> Crystal menu.

As a crafter, that that sounds great. If it were the days where mets still sold well, id be pissed if i were a seller'
Anyone else having a hard time getting skill up with these? i did over 100 synths with food and a shawl and managed to get from 8-10 in woodworking or do these just suck?
Done it 0-50 on two crafts so far, didn't notice a difference in skill up rate from normal crafting at all.

This may be a dumb question, but have you spoken to the guildmaster and turned in the guild item to raise your level cap?

Thread is so informative that I don't even know what to do with these kits.
Simple answer -> you can craft sth. with a Crafting Kit
Example: Clothcraft Kit 10 - Use a earth crystal and a Cloth. Kit 10 and you'll synth a doublet.
There are Kits for the lvls 5 - 10 - 15 - and so on until 50.
Buy one at the Guildshop, use the crystal of the description and do a craft. Very easy to get to 50 w/o buying shitloads of logs, ores and everything else Mog Gardens willing to offer.
