Wait, 2 known major uncaring liars, a socialist, and 2 people nobody ever heard of, and now the Gaffe Man himself? And you think it's interesting now?

Oh she's not running.

I was looking at the official list and there are 5 so the numbers added up, lol. I was like, "Chafee, a know major uncaring liar too...? I don't know anything about that guy."

Democratic Party presidential candidates, 2016 + Biden would be six.

If Gay Doritos don't turn you on limiting free speech at college universities should !

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2015/09/11/university-of-california-considering-recognizing-a-right-to-be-free-from-expressions-of-intolerance/

It's a lot of words to say we won't tolerate your intolerance ! It's wrong. Just wrong !

Basically you can do or say whatever you want long as it isn't offensive. Which basically means you have to be as politically correct as possible.

That would be disgusting.

What will be equally disgusting is when Biden, Democrats, the media and their supporters bring up his death and his other family members' deaths at every oppurtunity to milk sympathy.

You'd never bring them up right?

How silly. You can't make people stop thinking a way just because you ban them from speaking or expressing that view. All that does is force them to keep it to themselves and lash out later. Or post on internet message boards about how they're being unfairly persecuted for wanting to persecute others.

To eliminate a thing you can't make expression of the thing forbidden. All "outlawing" it does is make them feel validated as some sort of rebel or martyr for their *** up cause.

Depicting or articulating a view of people with disabilities (both visible and invisible) as incapable.

This is just kind of ludicrous though. I mean, no, you shouldn't deny anyone an opportunity based on their disability, but at the same time, a paraplegic person with zero motor activity below the waste is incapable of walking. That's not me "articulating a view," that's me stating that fact that, until medical science finds a way to help them, they are incapable of joining the track team.

I think there's room for it to be discussed in a non-pandering way regarding his ability to work through personal loss that has clearly affected him. It's actually a good thing to know about someone who could potentially be piloting this ship.

But you're right, someone -- probably many someones -- will take it beyond any reasonable measure and use it to play pandermonkey.

But that's hardly unique to either/any party.

I remember first day of college it was basically the President of the university saying "be nice" "be tolerant" and it took him an hour. I've never rolled my eyes so hard in my life.

Schools have long been dictatorships though. This isn't anything new.

You can't truly express yourself on campus lest someone reports you for offending their feels.

Unless you all agree to hate the same thing. Then it's okay.

I never participated in anything controversial in college cause I didn't want the hassle of dealing with the *** that would result.

The closest I came to controversy is discussing abortion being the only guy in my class...that was interesting...

I, uh.

I never participated in anything controversial in a "freedom to gather and express opinion" sort of way.

I'm pretty sure some things I had a hand in were considered controversial in some fashion or another.

But I never really had the time to demonstrate. I had classes to go to, beer to drink, drums to play, and beer to drink.

Yeah. Being a journalism major put me in contact with a lot of women with strong opinions. Not all of them were fans of me.

Including the freshman(freshperson?) editor at the paper (and how she got THAT position I'm pretty sure involved another "position") who couldn't understand the OP-ED piece I wrote making fun of size 0 women's clothing and she refused to run it.

She couldn't, no matter how I tried to explain it to her, grasp the concept that I wasn't making fun of skinny people, I was making fun of the idiotic way that we size women's clothing.

So now that I think on it, I guess I did run into feels-based censorship.

But that's not really fair to say it was based on feels primarily; it was primarily because she was a myopic, hypocritical little ***.

In stupid news:

Donald Trump criticised for not correcting 'Obama is Muslim' man

Quote:
Donald Trump has been criticised for failing to correct a supporter who said US President Barack Obama was a Muslim and "not even an American".

The Republican sought to laugh off the comment, which was preceded by the supporter saying: "We have a problem in this country - it's called Muslims".

The comments were made at a campaign rally for Mr Trump in New Hampshire.

Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton said his failure to denounce "hateful rhetoric" was "disturbing and wrong".

Pointing to his first questioner at the campaign event in Rochester, the billionaire businessman said: "I like this guy."

"We have a problem in this country called Muslims," the man said. "We know our current president is one. You know he's not even an American."

"We need this question?" Mr Trump said, laughing.

"But anyway," the man continued, "we have training camps growing where they want to kill us. That's my question: When can we get rid of them?"

Mr Trump failed to clarify that Mr Obama is a Christian American, instead replying that "bad things are happening" and saying he would look into them.

Mrs Clinton joined criticism of Mr Trump on social media, tweeting: "Donald Trump not denouncing false statements about POTUS & hateful rhetoric about Muslims is disturbing & just plain wrong. Cut it out."

In a statement, Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz said Mr Trump's "racism knows no bounds".
"This is certainly horrendous but unfortunately unsurprising given what we have seen already. The vile rhetoric coming from the GOP candidates is appalling," she added, calling on his rivals to denounce him.

Mr Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski sought to play down the incident, telling US media that "all he heard was a question about training camps".

"The media wants to make this issue about Obama. The bigger issue is that Obama is waging a war against Christians in this country," Mr Lewandowski told the Washington Post.

The incident evoked a moment during the 2008 campaign when Republican nominee John McCain took the microphone away from a woman who said she did not trust Mr Obama because he was "an Arab".

President Obama, who has spoken openly about his Christian faith, was born to an American mother and Kenyan father in Hawaii.

But Mr Trump has been one of the leading sceptics, challenging Mr Obama in 2011 to produce his birth certificate to disprove rumours that he was born in Kenya, which the president did.

With more than a year until polling day, the businessman is ahead of his Republican rivals in the polls despite having no political experience.

Seriously? Should we attack Clinton for not constantly denouncing hateful speech just because she hasn't this particular minute? How about Sanders? Obama himself?

This whole issue is stupid at best, and disturbing to say the least. I'm not a Trump fan at all, but why do people have to make ***up?

(Disclaimer: Yes, this could go to the Trump thread, but since Chanti loves to post Wonkette and HuffPost articles here, I have every right to post topics relating to Trump here too)

Yeah. This is grasping at straws at its finest. Where's the "fake scandal" crowd on this one? Hillary Clinton accepts donations from countries with terrible human rights violations and doesn't say a peep, but gets mad when Trump doesn't correct a guy who clearly has some screws loose? Pathetic.

I think the media just want him to reply to whatever they say. The more he speaks, the more they sell.

This, more or less.

At some point I think they realize that whether he wins or loses, he's a guy who likes attention and one way or another he's going to keep them chock full o' all the stories they want.
