I'm pretty sure every law in one way or another limits personal freedoms.

Nothing you mentioned had anything to do with the Tea Party. The Tea Party, other thsn outright Anarchists and Libertarians, is the last group you could call Authoritarian. Many members of the group introduce and sponsor a bill that is authoritarian, so of course they are on the opposite end of the spectrum because you agree with the law. Face it, your team is the same as their team with a different colored jersey. Jassik has gone bye bye Shiva.Nikolce said: » Odin.Jassik said: » A bill designed to limit people's personal freedom and access to a legal procedure... That's EXACTLY the definition of authoritarian. It died four years ago it's about taxes paying for abortion, it has nothing to do with viagra or the tea party and it doesn't limit freedom in any way shape or form because it was never enacted Read the bill. No public funding or tax credits can be linked to any entity that provides abortions or to any federal employee or federal insurance or medical care provider. Mind you, federal dollars are already forbidden from being used for abortions except in the case of rape or to protect the life of the mother, but it also excluded those cases as well. If it had passed the Senate, it would have effectively outlawed abortions by imposing undue financial burden on any provider or individual involved in an abortion anywhere in the US. It was written, introduced, and sponsored by multiple members of the Tea Party. None of whom seem to have a problem with tax money paying for things like Viagra. Tear it apart all you want, I was asked for an example, there it is. Phoenix.Amandarius said: » I'm pretty sure every law in one way or another limits personal freedoms. The bill, which Tea Party members tried to enact, would effectively ban abortion and any related care in ALL cases by placing an undue financial burden on ALL providers. A private clinic that performed abortions paid for by patients would not be able to claim ANY tax credits or deductions. And since that directly contradicts Roe v Wade, the supreme court would likely take the case if it were challenged. None of that is tinfoil, it's the specific purpose of the law, why else would they put a clause in there calling on states to enact outright bans on abortion? This isn't rocket science, man, legislators of all creeds are a lot of things, but they aren't dumb. Odin.Jassik said: » You don't seem to be getting it... taxes already can't pay for abortion. What you don't get, or refuse to acknowledge, is that by the Federal Government giving money to Planned Parenthood, it frees up the unrestricted money they have to perform such abortions. While I don't give a ***if they provide abortions at all, the Federal Government has no right to even indirectly pay for such an activity in the first place..... But then again, what else is the government going to spend the money on, massages for hamsters? Instead of investment or actual, life-saving medical research, or even the advancement of an alternative energy source that does not pollute the world.....nope, abortions and hamster massages! My problem is not with tax dollars not paying for abortion, my problem is the hypocrisy of using it to subsidize the pharmaceutical companies that make abortive medications but any provider that performs abortions shouldn't even be allowed tax deductions? Dispatch the lobbyists, outlaw private campaign finance, impose congressional term limits, and redraw congressional districts based on population density instead of partisan allegiance. Then screams rape when she is arrested. Technically speaking, those laws still stand, natural born Americans aren't beholden to the US government until they enter a citizenship agreement. So they don't have to pay taxes or surrender personal property, etc. But, they are still afforded the same freedoms, in this case, the right to freedom of movement. It's shady as crap, and just an excuse for people to be ***. Garuda.Chanti said: » Shiva.Nikolce said: » maybe if I drink more this page will make sense... bbl Backread twice and it still doesn't.
