But this is okay, right? They found people willing to do the work for less. Unregulated free market's benefits at work! (Of course, someone will chime in telling me how it is regulated; too regulated, etc. etc. If not for those regulations the other workers could have kept their jobs at reduced rates and it would have been more fair still!)

We have some of the most lax immigration laws of the civilized world, from what I understand. Yet somehow no matter what we do about immigration -- tighten or loosen -- someone's pissed.
And to be fair, I understand why. It's not an easy issue.

I'm not complaining about immigration. I'm complaining about companies bribing congress to be able to issue more H1 visas claiming that there isn't enough people in the US for tech fields, just to pull ***like this.

There are several European countries where if you want to move there you've got to prove you provide a service either 1) not available from current citizens or 2) that you can perform it better.
