Yeah. A pastor told them it was bad once, and they're so torn up about not being able to have it themselves that they're on a moral crusade to get rid of the fun for everyone!

This isn't "the media" tying him to the porn industry. This was certain religious groups tying him to the porn industry.
You didn't even bother reading the source, did you?

Title of the article in question from the Hill:

Quote:
Did Jeb Bush invest taxpayer money in porn?

I'll admit, the one group that was vocal about it did tie the stock purchase to pornography, and did so by logical leaps. But you know what? This happened back in and up until 2006. Why is the Hill bringing it up now? Mudslinging, plain and simple.

Yes......they are discussing the emails that he released this year.

It's not mudslinging to discuss something that just came to light. Just because something happened in 2006 doesn't make it not discussion worthy now.

Relevant, eh. I think his response and reasoning to the parties involved was very relevant. I find that to be very interesting as a voter. Unlike the current TX governor he didn't back down to pressure from a small, but vocal minority.

I guess you don't think anything from Clintons past before 2006 is relevant either? Or whatever other "opposite" candidates are presented in the next year.
I missed the part about the emails being released.

However, if this is the best they can dig up on Jeb Bush, that's saying something about the guy.

I'm still waiting for evidence on this allocation that Abbot listened to a small minority of Texas citizens though. Well, except for the calls to protect the area from any idiots that may decide that this is an invasion by the Obama administration.

All this allocation is is speculation. I'm surprised that you didn't see that Kara....

Making a profitable investment is mudslinging?

How, exactly, is this mudslinging? It's a goddamn goldmine of an opportunity to say "Look what I did for my constituents."

Unless he previously tried to pander to "socially conservative" values, such as "Porn bad missionary only after marriage fully clothed eyes wide shut".

Then Bush Jr. said "let's spread democracy in China" and everyone laughed and kicked Bush out of the club.

So, let's see.

Title excluded, can you tell us that this is neutral?

Quote:
Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush is coming under scrutiny from social conservatives for investing taxpayer money in a company with ties to pornography.

Quote:
The former Florida governor invested $1.3 million from the state’s pension fund into Movie Gallery, a film rental company that offers X-rated films in addition to comedies and action movies,

Quote:
One voter wrote Bush was supporting a company that was “enslaving men and women to its addiction."

Quote:
American Family Association founder Donald Wildmon, in particular, took offense to Bush’s ties to pornography.

Yeah, there is some sensationalism in the article, but they could say the exact same things if these quotes (this isn't a large article) was written from a neutral mindset...

So? Wouldn't you feel unsafe and insecure when a military operation, even if it's for training purposes, were to happen next to you?

How about next time, you ask the US Military to conduct training exercises in Denmark and see if you won't ask your military to watch over things.

Yeah, but Mazes and Monsters is an actual PSA-type movie starring Tom Hanks. Made to warn kids away from the evil of role playing games! HOW WILL THEY TELL FANTASY FROM REALITY! (So you see, it's not new to video games; pretty sure it happened with television too when it was first around.)

Dungeons and Dragons is seriously scary to some moral-type crusaders like the ones fighting Jebby here.

Considering some are direct quotes from the emails, yes, it sounds like a morality debate.

Which is what it was at the time.

Just with a Republican refusing to back down on a company that was profitable for taxpayers.

letter by Abott from his office, posted on the Texas govenors website

Won't let me select and quote

This letter is addressed To Major General Gerald "Jake" Betty to have the the TX national guard monitor the exercises from July 2015 to September 2015 to address concerns of Texas citizens to make sure they feel safe and secure.
So? Wouldn't you feel unsafe and insecure when a military operation, even if it's for training purposes, were to happen next to you?
No.

How about next time, you ask the US Military to conduct training exercises in Denmark and see if you won't ask your military to watch over things.
The resident military is always informed when official exercises are being performed; if they aren't actively participating (which would be somewhat uncommon), you will often have observers/advisors/liasons from the resident military embedded.
It sure as hell isn't to feel safe and secure; it usually is to show off, educate, and be there if someone stupid is in the area (since locals typically speak the native language better than foreigners).

I'd love to show up to a moral crusader gathering in character as a Blue Mage. Thanks to Square-Enix I believe that I need to kill animals to absorb their souls into my own.

It's too late... everyone already has a picture in their head of Jeb and W partying at a strip club and doing lines of blow off one of the dancer's butts while "making it rain" with fistfulls of tax payer dollars. and wearing their ties like headbands and playing air guitar covers of "free bird"

Yeah, but somehow Bill Clinton somehow always makes his way into that picture.

he's the one playing the saxophone wearing dark sunglasses...

Do you think he really wants to be the first ladyman?
