We've got a K-mart, I guess. But I don't want to get Hepatitis just browsing merchandise.
Big electronics purchases (televisions and the like) I generally stick with Seers or similar places. All other electronics I generally buy online. Sure Amazon may be evil too, but like Google, they're friendly about it.

It's all your fault.
Consumers wanted to save money in order to purchase products and thus held their dollars hostage and demanded lower prices.
But they also refused to take pay cuts to facilitate the lowering of the cost of those goods.
The manufacturing companies went overseas to find cheaper labor to produce the same products at lower costs.
A tipping point was reached when the number of jobs sent overseas negatively impacted the percentage of people working "middle class" jobs.
Without the "overpaid middle class" jobs providing the income they need to buy products the economy eventually stagnated
and here we are.
the only way to turn it around is to pay a little more for american products so your neighbors can do the same.
we complain in this country about not providing people with a livable wage and at the same time buy products from countries where the wages are borderline slavery.

Only located in Texas, and pretty much from Waco on down. My sister from Missouri would come down to SA to visit on occasion, and every time she does, before she leaves, she stops at HEB to stock up.

I hate superstores in general. I think the only tolerable one is Costco because they drop the pretense of being anything other than a first-order delivery warehouse that you can browse.
Or maybe I just like that they require a membership so I can stroll in with these sweet black-framed glasses with the lenses popped out.

Walmart doesn't only favor low retention, they favor recycling employees. They will gladly rehire someone three months later who was fired for repeatedly missing work because they now have a trained employee they can start back at the low end of the pay scale.
