Random Politics & Religion #00
It's pretty slow for politics once people start announcing they are running thought it will pick up.

I mean... she's been in contact with both democrats and republicans via email during her time as secretary of state so they all knew about it. Why did no one on either side make a stink about it until right now? Oh yeah... no one was worried about it until the presidential election started coming around the bend. AP was the one who sued under Freedom of Information regulations. And for some reason, this was posted in the wrong thread. I'm with you on her turning them over and even more so when I heard that her staff deleted about 5,000 emails that they deemed personal only in nature. Personally I don't know what the requirements were on her turning them over yet. Did she exceed the allowed amount of time? Was the state department calling for the correspondence and she was ignoring em? However she hasn't only been criticized for not turning them over already. It's been a lot about her using it in the first place. They've even claim she has not only broken the state department rules by doing so but the law as well. People knew about this on both sides for a long time and did nothing. So as much as I disagree with her using personal email for government work I'm not all that concerned with breaches. Edit: If she broke a law though it should be pretty easy at this point to show what law she broke, how she broke it and then mete out the deserving punishment. I don't think anyone is denying that she didn't hand em over til right now. For me the bigger issue is how do we know she turned over all of them? How can we hold any government official accountbale for only using their .gov account at all times for business. Whats to say any of them didn't send out an email over another account for whatever reason they might have? Do we have anything in place now to prevent that? Lakshmi.Flavin said: » So what you're saying is that no one in government really cared that she used her personal email then? That regulation was passed in 2014. They've even claim she has not only broken the state department rules by doing so but the law as well. At worse, her federal pension will be reduced. But no civil/criminal charges based on her usage of her personal email can be made, because the regulation requiring all government employees to use the government encrypted emails was in place when she was SOS. The race bating administration should outright be ashamed of itself...
Holy crap, I didn't think it was possible.
Flavin of all people gave me a [+]. *checks date* Nope, it's not Friday 13th yet. *checks Mayan calendar* Nope, world still should exist for another 67 years or so. Mayan's got it wrong apocalypse is 2016.

I'm not saying what she did is right but honestly myself under the same circumstances I wouldn't give my personal emails over to a bunch of poo flinging monkies either. As for if she was actually hiding something? Probably. everyone has secrets. Whether it's the kind of career ending secrets that her opponents were hope for is unprobable but also probably a moot point as it would've been an endless vomit of criticism going forward from everything about the way she addresses people to a mistyped word in a sentence to things just made up. She also works with the Clinton foundation, and probably has secrets that aren't her's alone to give in there too. What they are looking for is the "smoking gun" on her many scandals, including her biggest one yet. I think she is a secret Muslim but I have to get her e-mails to prove it !
All you need is she is a power hungry woman. That should be reason enough to fear her. Plus she hasn't even officially announced and she is doing a terrible job at being an candidate. France fines yogurt cartel 193m euros for price-fixing
French authorities have fined the country's top yogurt makers €193m (£136m; $204m) for engaging in a price-fixing cartel for six years. Eleven firms - representing 90% of France's yogurt makers - were involved in setting the price of supermarket own-brand yoghurt and dairy products. ... The ruling found that the 11 firms colluded on how and when to drive up prices - and by what amount - for six years, from 2006 to 2012. The cartel set prices for products including yoghurt, fromage frais, creme fraiche, and dairy desserts. According to the complaint, yoghurt executives used dedicated secret mobile phones to come together for clandestine meetings at hotels, each time varying the meeting places for the sake of discretion.
