I've figured I'm on borrowed time anyhow when it comes to medical complications. My mother is Type 1 diabetic (started treatment around age 6), my uncle has had several orthopedic issues (though he accelerated some of those himself through a pretty rough lifestyle and hard labor jobs), my dad has had an iffy back his whole life, skinny tall ***that he is. Luckily I've dodged everything so far, but I don't count on that lasting...
