Christians do not currently have a religious death-cult rampaging across the Middle East and killing innocents in Europe all in the name of jihad. Being serious for a moment, I'm genuinely intrigued about what will happen when(/if?) Trump loses, either in a brokered convention or the general. These people have megaphones now, and they're not going to just give those up.

2. you've already seen plenty of liberal posters here claiming that suppressing Trump's fans is not the way to go; using the actions of a few idiots or immature people who do so does not justify blanket statements about the rest

RNC has really no choice but to make Trump the nominee. There is too much support for him, and he will most likely win the required delegates to go to the general election.
If, and only if, Clinton manages to stay in the general election because no charges have been filed against her, all Trump really has to do is paint her as Obama 2.0. People really are tired of the same old *** we have been dealing with for the past 7 and a half years. It will be like 2008 all over again, where a very unpopular president pretty much gives the election to whoever the nominee for the opposing side is.

If Trump doesn't get the nomination because of the party depending on how strongly those supporters feel about him they might even boycott the republican chosen candidate out of principle. Obviously not everyone would do that, but a chunk might.
