This is great for Trump anyway. That marmot on his head gets fully erect for this kind of publicity.
FREE publicity to boot. he's going to have to call a doctor, because that erection isn't going away for 8-10 hours.
So, a group unaffiliated with NBC wants to prevent them from airing a show with a person they don't like for political reasons... and we're calling this capitalism and not censorship?
Let's look at a definition for censorship: "Censorship is the suppression of speech, public communication or other information which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, politically incorrect or inconvenient as determined by governments, media outlets, authorities or other groups or institutions." Yeah, that fits the bill. How awkward!
It's a god damn terrible comedy sketch show, not the presidential debates. I don't think anyone could argue that he's losing any 'exposure' by not being on it.
this entire conversation is borderline HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE, and you should all feel bad. You shouldn't use things like logic and definitions, Ravael, it gets in the way of their feels.
Also, what else would they argue against if you show them facts? Remember, us conservatives don't like things like facts and reality, according to our liberal members here and around the country. And if you show them up? They just throw insults back at you. Case in point: Mosin abov. yeah mosin, that hard line communist leftist and his maoist agenda!
you'll never get away with it! Censorship of a crappy sketch comedy show is still censorship. If you want to make the argument that the whole thing is stupid, that's great. Changing the definition of censorship to fit one's feels is where the problem is.

I'd insult you all day if I wasn't so jealous of your stupidity. Cerberus.Pleebo said: » Er, that's still capitalism. And in no way is this "censorship". How awkward! No, it isn't. Capitalism would be if these people were advocating others simply change the channel and not watch the show, they people want the show to be stopped. If these people were outside of a porn shop, demanding that the store stop selling sex toys, you would not call it capitalism. If these were pro lifers standing outside a planned parenthood, demanding that the place stop performing abortions you would not call it capitalism. Not surprising that you don't really have a clue about it. I blame Remo McFeely and his emotional roller coaster...
Protesters aren't censoring anyone, they're pressuring a company to sell them the product they want to buy. Censorship would require they prevent the show from airing or being seen.
Plain and simple, the people who watch the show aren't happy and they are letting NBC know it. THAT'S capitalism, not censorship, period. Man! Must have been a rough decision on Lorne Micheals's part when he had to nix Trump over a sketch in which the Mexican standing next to him in a public shower revealed his ***-wielding marmot. Obviously, Trump needs to throw up the magic wall to keep that irascible, wily critter from smuggling good, old-fashioned Mexican Cialis across the border. Pobrecito! Have you even for a second considered the possibility that it might have elements of both? Oh no, we must remove the bad word and replace it with a more acceptable word so that we don't look bad. People pay to see SNL on broadcast television? There is no product being bought. It's not capitalism.
More of the liberal agenda being played out here. It was fine when Hillary was on there as the liberals cream themselves over here, but holy ***Donald Trump is the devil better save the world from him. I pray to god he wins and cuts off all the liberal handouts to these people.

This goes for conservatives as well. It's stupid to bring it up on either side. Phoenix.Amandarius said: » People pay to see SNL on broadcast television? There is no product being bought. They aren't trying to silence Trump's or SNL's views, they are protesting a company. They are the market deciding what they want. It's pure capitalism. If they were trying to keep people from entering a venue where Trump was giving a speech, that would have elements of censorship. Face it, if it were Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton, you wouldn't even attempt to cry censorship. |
