A trillion dollars all at once is a drop in the bucket when it comes to maintaining 50,000 miles of interstate highways and over half a million bridges. He was armed with some kinda sword The police shot the *** and he's in the hospital now Extremely rare to have this kind of violence at a school here though, nothing anyone needs to be afraid of here. Now is not the time to discuss sword control.

Yeah, guns don't making killing a ton of people way easier... It's only allowed to talk about things that happen in the US.
Valefor.Sehachan said: » It's only allowed to talk about things that happen in the US. We have toddler dictators in the U.S.? Well that's a game-changer. KJU was once a child. That's a topic?
Valefor.Sehachan said: » KJU was once a child. That's a topic? It's way more interesting than the alternative. Yep, murder is only interesting if it's american.
Valefor.Sehachan said: » KJU was once a child. That's a topic? So we send someone back in time to kill him? Valefor.Sehachan said: » Yep, murder is only interesting if it's american. Using a Swedish news story to launch a debate on American gun control is not exactly the best way of discussing foreign affairs anyway. Valefor.Sehachan said: » Yep, murder is only interesting if it's american. Yes, because both of your conclusions are logical deductions from my statements. Eat a Snickers. Bahamut.Ravael said: » Using a Swedish news story to launch a debate on American gun control Not my intention. It would never work anyway, you seem to like your mass killings. Yeah you get mad whenever the topic is brought up. You could, you know, not participate. This was actually a very interesting cue considering it offers a different perspective and point of focus than usual. But boo I don't wanna talk about it.
Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Not my intention. don't mind those guys drac. I think it makes for a more healthy P&R section when people from around the world can participate. dude lives in sweden, posts swedish news, seems pretty reasonable to me. The 'swordsman' died about half an hour ago from the gunshot wounds so that's a plus
A lot of Americans don't like to be reminded there are other countries and some don't have the problems we do.
I can only remember one other attack like this in the past 10 or so years, I think 2 people died that time as well and the weapon was a knife.
It wasn't a random attack then though This is the crappy English version they posted
Quote: At least three people have been killed after an attack at a school in the Swedish city of Trollhättan. One of those who has been confirmed dead is the attacker. The other two is a teacher and a minor. Several others are now being treated in hospital. It was just after 10 A.M Thursday the police got an alarm from the school ”Kronan” in Trollhättan. A masked man, later identified as a 21-year old male, was attacking teachers and students at the school. The man was carrying several knife like weapon, one of which has been described as a sword. Male teacher killed When the police arrived on the scene they found a male teacher dead just inside the doors to the school. Another male teacher was found wounded as well as two boys, aged 11 and 15. They are now being treated in hospital. When the police entered the school they were attacked by the masked man. Shot by police He was then shot by the police. – Two shots was fired. One hit its target and disarmed the man, said police spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg. The attacker was being treated at the hospital, but died in the afternoon. Later in the afternoon, police struck against a residence building in Trollhättan. ”Thought it was a joke” About 400 kids are studying at the school. One of the students told the Swedish network SVT about how they reacted when the swordsman attacked. – When we first saw him we thought it was a joke. He was wearing a mask and black clothes and was carrying a long sword. Students wanted to take pictures with him, said Laith, 14, to the network. When the news about the attack broke, Sweden's prime minister, Stefan Löfven, immediately cancelled his appointments for the day and went to Trollhättan. Skolverket, Sweden's National Agency for Education, said that attacks like these are very uncommon in Sweden. Jassik said: » what trillion dollars? exactly... and that's why you can't have any more... "stimulus package" Jassik said: » A trillion dollars all at once is a drop in the bucket. I'd like a quarter ounce of whatever it is you were smoking when you typed this...right now. a trillion dollars is $3,280 from every single person living in the US. had we instead stuck it in a bank earning 5% interest it would have created 50 billion dollars every year ok so the US uses 136.78 billion gallons a year so to generate a trillion (drop in the bucket) dollars your way the tax per gallon would have to be $7.35 a gallon. how about no Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Bahamut.Ravael said: » Using a Swedish news story to launch a debate on American gun control Not my intention. I don't have an issue with the story or that it's not US news, I have an issue with what was attempted, and it wasn't by you. Aside from that there's many things wrong with what you just said, the point flew entirely over your head and you started accusing people of not liking non-US news with a flawed premise. It's partly our fault as we didn't elaborate, so it was a rather vague dissent, so for that I apologize. Snickers for everyone! |
