With the new update coming up, I would be interested to know who are the best NPCs in slots that we would normally be unable to fulfill. 99% of the time, I am using Joachim/Ulmia/Cherukiki, and have not had much time to do any tests with others. As SE words it, they say you will be able to summon NPCs while you are in a party, so will that mean we can have six man parties with 18 NPCs? If this is the case, we will be using a lot of NPCs that normally don't see the light of day, so we will want to know who are the most efficient. We already know that Cherukiki > Kupipi. Mihli is also a half decent healer, so we have the three mages right there. When it comes to Tanks, I want to assume Valaineral > Trion > Curilla. Please correct me if you believe otherwise. Then it comes down to pure DD power, (unless you want Treasure Hunter) and I would be very interested to see some data regarding damage, preferably on decent targets in Adoulin areas.
I would say Kupipi/Mihli are sidegrades to Cherukiki. The reason in my mind would be that Kupipi and Mihli will erase and do status heals but will not haste, Cherukiki will haste and regen you but will not heal statuses. We're still waiting for the perfect whm clone that can do both lol.

The way I did it was rdm/blm. I bought a lv 1 dagger as well. When I started the battle I used stone once for 14 damage, then I healed one of the npcs on my team for 18. Then I used dia 3 times for 1, 1, and 2 damage, which made offensive magic and cures equal at 18 dmg. Then I swang my dagger until I got close to 18 (I think I criticaled and went a bit over ^^;). All that's important is you have your offensive magic and either healing or melee dmg at the same amount by the time the first evaluation ends. Then you get the nuke bonus and can just spam stone from a distance until the fight ends. This netted me 3500+ each time.
Halfway through doing them I got tired of dia being unpredictable, since it sometimes varied between 1 and 2 dmg and would throw off my numbers. I wanted make it so I wouldn't have to use dia... so my goal was to make my stone nukes do 18 normally to match the 18 heal I did. I met this goal by eating an apple pie to give me some more INT. I tried other INT foods as well, some that gave more or less INT and would antacid if they didn't make my stones do 18.
If you can get your stone damage to match your cure amount, getting 3000+ is as easy as doing 1 stone nuke, 1 heal, and hitting the mob 2 or 3 times with a dagger to get as close to your stone/cure amount as you can before the evaluation. After evaluation you will have the 200% nuke bonus and can spam stone until the battle is over.

Once you've gotten the 10k points and the 3k from a battle in expert mode for the moogle team, the cutscene to get the aldo cipher will begin automatically from the moogle npc.

i digress Fablinix is good, nice bomb toss dmg and a good dmg +healer
Moogle is worthless for most parts they say adds magic skill gain i dont see it. and his refreesh is too minimal to matter. Gessho is the best tank in the game he can solo just about anything unless it spams Ga spells like ffew of the Campgin NM's do

Fablinix and D. Shantotto along with Gessho work well for me when I play RDM which I do most of the time.

pointless piece of weirdness for all the cipher luvvers out there, was just messing on rng (lvl21) in la thiene plateau. had valaineral + cherukiki + sakura out. fighting slumbering samwell.
anyways... moogle + sakura being unaffected by.... anything... not true. sam spammed sheep song. at the time thought nothing of it. but when fight over, I walked off, looking for my next victim and sakura was still at fighting place. seems like the lil choco got affected by the sleepga affect. dunno if just a bug or a freak occurrence but anyone else had events like this take place?

Ferreous Coffin in campaign can lift weakness, iirc. Was really hoping that might be whm's SP II when they first mentioned SP IIs. Obviously am not expecting a trust fellow to have that move. It's been way too long since WotG's hayday but it was something like Revivescense or so. It's all blurry now

It's a tarutaru summoner that calls forth the worms, not the beast master.

These were all confirmed to use Relic WSs in the Vana-Digest.

Nah they didn't mention that. Just that they will use their Relic WSs.

Really excited for all 4 of these, but especially the rdm/rng. She just looks so damn cool. I hope these aren't all supposed to be from login points during one login campaign. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll be from allied notes or a simple cutscene.

It's a Trust Extravaganza, so it'll probably involve buying them with Imperial Standing, Conquest Points, Cruor and Allied Notes again.
Might be a good idea to build up your currencies now if you're running low.
I wish that for these extravaganzas, they'd make all previous Trusts available again - I missed out on a few on my alt characters.

Actually, all four of these NPC's are from the Crystal War. I know I'm low on Allied Notes, so I guess it's Campaign time again.
