Got the +3 thanks to last month statue crusher and was wondering if it would be useful or not. Maybe on mobs that tends to do a lot of aoe ? I don't know if it would make much difference. Any input is appreciated ! Looking at the new sets... It figures GEO gets left off of a mage melee set again. But Summoner is on it for some reason? It's like they slapped SMN on it along with some pet stats lol.

Updated the GEO+WHM DPS spreadsheet with the Bunzi stuff from Odyssey.

The issue with path B is for other jobs it’s kind of bleh except for hybrid WS. I’m thinking path A for melee mages and DRG TP is seemingly the best options with it although could do a slight blend take path B for head and hands and keep using blistering sallet and gazu brackets in the geo TP set with body legs and feet path A.

DEX based WS suffer more because this set has low DEX, some of the other stats are okaysh though. Aside from people who've been blessed by >8% WSD and good stats with DM augs, a lot of jobs can make good use of Path B. And that's without even taking into account the inventory saving aspect, which for some of us who have over 10 jobs geared up, is quite the issue let me say. It’s actually somewhat low stats for str too which hurts it for those jobs. And the other issue is at attack cap it’s still losing to the last sets just released. After people calm down a bit and begin to explore the numbers more It should become obvious that they short changed MA and base stats on these a little too much. B is really really good...If we didn’t just get all that PDL stuff which helps even your single big hit WS.
Both sets are really good for Mage jobs, gonna be a hard choice but whatever choice you make, it's hardly gonna be a bad one, I think.

I actually went with cool head from the start and already posted some info with that in mind. Also path B has really low acc, so it's not gonna work for WS like Insurgency or Upheaval, where you want wsd because ftp on first hit is big, but you still also want accuracy to land rest of the hits, because they are big part of ws damage too. Even for first hit heavy WS like Torcleaver, 5/5 path B has base accuracy below 1100, which might be a problem even with native bonus of +100 acc on first hit and you are pretty much forced to use acc food. Can we say that geo is dying with Gaol (debuffs nerf and no subjob) and all the others content its nerfed ?

Bolster fury, barrier, fend or attunement are MASSIVE buffs, especially with idris. +120% attack, +170% def etc. are crazy numbers. If only we could get an higher regen potency for bubbles or a repair item like pup

The 10% DT absorb is luck based or it proc before DT cap or after ?

Assuming it will get hit by 1000dmg AoE 10 times, on avg it will take 9x 125 damage and will be healed once for 1000. Lets avg out it will get healed by 6th AoE. In the end it will take 400 damage instead of 1250, which is a huge improvement. You can buy +1 neck too. 8% absorb will still be a big gain too. As someone who plays GEO quite often lately, I agree with what Simon said. I think it was way overpowered in the past. Now it's a bit more on par with other support jobs. Offline

I'd say only buy the +2 when you are a main geo. If not nq or even +1 will be enough. It's a big price tag upwards from +1 to +2.
neck is also good for reducing the luopan's base DoT in the midcast set.
Definitely worth getting a +1. Have a +2 myself and it's kept my pet alive in some spots I would never expect.
