Like NIN pre-With teeth hits a whole different note for people struggling with addiction, that is a good example as well.
He hits a chord with them(I feel a more true chord with ones struggling with addiction) because he felt the same way, you won't necessarily.
Or you will have Linking Park who has the same message every single song for the last decade or so.
I'm picky is a good way of saying it, striking a chord emotionally with me on multiple levels will make me love a band for life.

Speaking of NIN, does anyone know where this version is from? I've never been able to find it except from this video

I'd be able to tell you but I don't have audio on this PC.
Keep in mind that they released some of their tracks for the specific purpose of remixing anyway.

Yeah, I can appreciate that. Though I prefer music that isn't about "something," really. I prefer the abstract where they are just singing; where they aren't singing about their emotions, they are singing their emotions. YOu know what I mean?

This song? It's the normal version of Right Where It Belongs, from With Teeth.

Edit: It's not live either, the studio version has the cheering halfway through.

Like when lyrics aren't obvious as to what they actually mean? They put it in their own words, so to speak

Cedric Bixler Zavala does that, just makes all the noises and makes up the words after the fact.
But that's just because you don't conform to cedric, you conform to Omar only.
lol
(The Mars Volta)
Coheed and Cambria released a novel with their latest album and I *** love it.
everything fits, it's an OCD wet dream man.
It really depends for me.
Not saying that the lyrics have to be relevant subject matter, but if it is relevant subject matter that can portray the emotions properly I don't see any harm in it.

You peg me as someone who enjoys Sigur Ros and the like, am I correct?

When it comes to lyricism I like lots of symbolism and whatnot, so that people who can synergize with the emotion can get the idea faster than the ones that just take the lyrics at face value/don't listen to the lyrics intently.

Yeah, pretty much. Except also that they aren't putting it into their own words, necessarily. More like they are just saying whatever words come to mind when they feel a certain way and that may mean something to one person, but a different person can take a completely different perspective on the lyrics. (Not that the lyrics necessarily have to be written that way in order to be that way)

There is a different version that's a lot quieter and without the static effect, called Right Where It Belongs v2, off the UK version of With Teeth.

I listened to the NIN album btw, didn't really stike a chord with me this time around, probably partially due to him not being a user and abuser anymore and partially because of my evolving music taste.

Dual Send is AWESOME.
Too bad running two instances of FFXI = lag & super hot PC
There is a way to have dual send function over your network so I can run my lil taru downstairs and still control him via the network.

It's a piece of software that allows me to send commands to multiple instances of FFXI on the same computer.

So instead of alt tabbing to the other character I can type
//send otherguy /ma Cure mainguy
and it'll automatically cure me without having to switch over.
