Okay, how frequently can you do those guildleve things that work essentially like FoV? What's the cooldown?

8 every 48 hours in beta

Cooldown is less in retail, but I don't know how much.

That's kind of harsh, but logical with the fatigue system. Luckily you can still utilize it for class level yes?

Also.. for the all the NM's and quests to get the seals for the AF3 gear, are all those placed in the new expansion areas, or the old ones as well?

Anyone. =33

Or is this place only playing 14 now? XD

Yeah. It's not that bad if you play with other people, I basically did all my leves with Kowen and it meant that we essentially had 16 leves every 48 hours.

That gets more and more if people are willing to run back to get leves after.

Oh so you can share leves and both gain the rewards per person?

Yes, it means that helping people has a reward for you in a bit of gil and exps lol.

Quick tip though... here's an example:

You have a leve called Coblyns

Your friend also has a leve called Coblyns

If either of you activate that at the Aetheryte you'll both get the full reward for it (As if you started it yourself) but if you let him do all his leves, then go back and get all of your leves you won't have any overlapping and you'll get the maximum amount of leves.

Sorry hard to explain without drawing or something lol.

So basically you want to make sure you do them one at a time per person or else they'll overlap and you won't get your potential secondary rewards.

Exactly.

Let one friend do 8 or whatever

Then after those are done go get your 8

That way no leves will overlap and You'll essentially be doing a few of the same leves more than once.

Now if only I knew a reasonable way to upgrade my weapons and armor without spending 20,000 gil that I don't have :D

Also, how does one change their class on the fly as Zam claims you can?

The main story will net you 20k lol, and it's easy peasy. Once you hit level 10 weapon rank you can do the next storyline mission that will net you another 30k.

Other than that... Make a retainer sell crystals and shards lol they sell like hot cakes atm. Doing the level 10 leves will net you 10k for each one that's yours and about 2.5k if it's someone else's leves.

You can also start crafting, but atm it's about just earning it anywhere you can lol

Wow... That just doesn't fly with me for some reason.
It made more sense to have my moogle dance in circles and make me vanish and reappear with spiraly magic light to change classes.

I honestly cannot imagine a warrior guy with sword and shield in hand suddenly grabbing a staff and going "I ARE MAGE NAO LOL"

It was a bit weird at first too, but then I kinda got used to it. Just made a macro to change weapon and set skills lol.

Also I'm addicted to Final Fantasy rap >.>

Oh I only RTFM if I reach the point of admitting defeat after reaching some sort of horrible catalyst of disaster and confusion. I like tinkering with things until I learn on my own. Sadly, I believe unless the lag dramatically clears up with the official release, I will need to RTFM first ._.

The lag was a bit troublesome. It was better when it wasn't peak hour due to less lag on the server.

When the menus are client side it'll be fine.

But generally it seems simple enough. You're thrust immediately into an interesting storyline with the given plot device and left in a beginner friendly environment with systems like FoV to get you started and on your feet.

Now if only I can make sense of general configuration and what all these strange things on the side mean:

"What the hell does it mean if my arrows are made of ash wood rather than maple or oak?"

"What attribute does Piety apply to or affect?"

etc. etc. etc.

Lol I can tell you if you want? or would you prefer to find out on your own?
